Britney Spears, was dancing with new man
Isaac Cohen at the opening of new Hollywood restaurant-lounge Sideways on
Jan 12th. Though she also danced with pals, her focus was on Cohen as they
leaned in to talk to one another. When they weren't on the dance floor,
the singer was wearing a white tank top and miniskirt which held screening
in the private VIP area. The night before, Spears and pals had dinner at
West Hollywood restaurant Il Sole, but she just watched them eat, and
didn't have any food. That was amazing..
Tyra Banks has
been fielding some real questions about her weight. According to
some cruel reports she gained some 40 pounds. She found out the
rumors upon having heard some rumors leaving Australia. Her
relatives heard the same rumors and left messages of support. Tyra
googled herself and found out the sources of reports. She has been
devastated by them, it prompted her to dedicate her Feb 1 show to combat
the
stories.
She has put on weight, though not nearly as much as those recent tabloid
stories suggested. (Banks believes the pix were snapped at an unflattering
angle.) "She has a very womanly, gorgeous body that goes up and down,"
says her good friend Heidi Klum. In fact, Banks says that since she
retired from modeling in 2005, the number on the scale has fluctuated from
148 lbs. to 162 lbs.
Paris Hilton has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in her
drunk-driving case, Hilton entered a plea of no contest Monday to a lesser
charge of reckless driving and was placed on 36 months probation. She must
also pay a fine of $390 and attend an alcohol education program. "We
believe this was an appropriate
resolution given the facts in this matter and both sides' desire to avoid
a trial on the original charges," says Hilton's attorney, Howard Weitzman,
who is also representing Nicole Richie in her pending DUI case. Two weeks
ago, the heiress pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of DUI and
driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08 or higher.
Britney
has been stepping out with Isaac Cohen. The pair spent a romantic weekend
together in Las Vegas, in a $40,000 per night suite. Even though she
has been trying to say that they are longer together. Many critics
have remarked about similarity to Kevin's look this guy is. Maybe
she misses her boo.. Jan 19th, as of Jan 28th she is back in Miami
snuggling. John Mayer and Jessica Simpson continue their tour of the
Sunshine State in Miami on Friday. After Mayer's concert date in
Jacksonville, the duo, who were in town earlier in the week, rolled in on
Mayer's tour bus at 4 a.m. and checked into the Four Seasons Hotel.

A North
Carolina artist was intrigued by the public obsession with celebrity has
found herself feeding that obsession with a painting of the only actress
Angelina Jolie as the Virgin Mary hovering over a Wal-Mart check-out line.
Kate Kretz has painted for about 20 years, but none of her previous work
has garnered the attention given "Blessed Art Thou," showing this weekend
at Art Miami, an annual exposition of modern and contemporary art.
The painting has gotten much attention from celebrity web sites and too
many blogs. Since the buzz started, the number of daily unique visitors to
Kretz's own blog has jumped from an average of 30 to 15,000 on Wednesday.
Well, no matter what, it is a nice painting. Sorry but I have to
take her down a peg only because she had called her biological daughter “a
blob” with less personality than her two adopted kids, and had criticized
Madonna’s adoption of a baby boy from Malawi. We all know she was
saying the baby has unlimited potential, a clean slate and still finding
herself.
A meeting of minds met in NYC on the eve of Martin Luther Kings
Birthday. Jews in yarmulkes and Muslims in Kufis sat side by side at
the Islamic Cultural Center of NY, searching for Common ground during a
ground breaking celebration. It was attended by many great people and even
pictures of Martin Luther King 3, Imam Omar Namous and Rabbi Mar Shneier
and Rev Russell Simmons were taken and prominent page 8 of NY's Daily
News. A great tribute to MLK this meeting was a start.
Rihanna has won the top
entertainer award for the second consecutive year at the Barbados Music
Awards. 18-year-old R&B singer, who was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty on this
Caribbean island, won several other categories including best album for "A
Girl Like Me" and best song for her Top 10 single "Unfaithful." "I
am always delighted to win awards, but it's especially great to win awards
at home," she said. "I'm actually working on my third album, so you will
be seeing and hearing a lot from me in the upcoming months."
Britney Spears was asleep early.
According to some reports, Brit was passed out drunk and had to be carried
out. Others said she was exhausted and left the club.
The 25-year-old
reveler's nap time unfortunately coincided with her hosting gig at Caesars
Palace's Pure nightclub, where she was leading the annual countdown from
the VIP lounge for which she pocketed, per the Las Vegas Review, a
Journal, a hefty $300,000. The New York Post reported that around 12:45
a.m., Spears, who purportedly had been drinking champagne and dancing to
her own song "I'm a Slave 4 U," "went into a dead faint and just fell
right to the floor." The newspaper went on to claim that she was quickly
whisked away from prying eyes by her entourage and removed from the club.
Her people dispute the claim. It may end up costing the diva
$400,000, she was under contract when she collapsed for exhaustion.
The club said she was penalized for leaving early.
Spears was in Sin City with her two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, who were being tended to by a
nanny during the party. Needless to say, she was not with estranged hubby
Kevin Federline.
That honor went to the people of Miami's Mansion nightclub, where
Federline rang in the New Year alongside Lindsay Lohan, Mandy Moore,
Wilmer Valderrama and Hilary Duff.
Lindsay Lohan is
trying to turn things around. I guess now seeing the errors of her
behavior has checked into a rehab clinic. She wanted to put a end to
the booze swilling, pill popping tirades of the past. Lindsay who is
20, was wearing a baseball cap (Lola), Green Flannel shirt, and black
tights. We wish her luck. Following the announcement that Lindsay Lohan is
entering rehab, the actress' manager-mom, Dina, says her daughter is doing
what she needs to do. As of Jan 28th she is back to work. Lohan's
latest movie, the thriller I Know Who Killed Me, began shooting
again on Thursday, and her scenes are scheduled to start filming Friday.

The son of music legend Lou Rawls is suing the son of Motown legend
Marvin Gaye, claiming he was attacked by "four large dogs" during a visit
to Gaye's Hollywood home in 2005. The complaint by Lou Rawls Jr.
against Marvin Gaye III was filed last week in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Rawls claims the dogs "bit, clawed and physically and mentally injured"
him, causing him to suffer "loss of blood, tearing of flesh, multiple dog
bite wounds, fear of disease" and other injuries, according to court
documents. He is seeking unspecified damages.
According to The
Artist Formerly Known As The Artist's (Prince) camp, the media shy music
maestro is reportedly currently in talks with several Las Vegas
publishers, piquing interests with his concept '3121 Magazine.' "The
magazine will feature interviews with musicians and exclusive photos taken
by Prince," a statement announced. "Currently on location shooting
publicity shots for a new singer he is working with, Prince will be back
in Vegas to ring in the new year at 3121." Oh yeah, that's also the
name of his new weekly nightclub gig at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino
in Las Vegas, and his latest platinum selling opus. The statement
continued: "When Prince is not bringing down da' house at 3121 on Friday
and Saturday nights, he is busy pursuing his current hobby, photography
and it appears that his work is quite extraordinary, capturing private
candid shots with the same air of his unique jam sessions. '3121' Magazine
would provide the perfect outlet to showcase his photos."

Goth
rocker Marilyn Manson , 38, is dating 19-year-old actress Evan Rachel Wood
, People magazine reports on its Web site. Manson's relationship with the
actress, best known for her role in 2003's "Thirteen," played a part in
his split from his wife, Dita Von Teese. Von Teese, aka Heather Sweet,
cited "irreconcilable differences" in divorce papers filed Dec. 29 in Los
Angeles. "Dita is heartbroken, she didn't see this coming," a source close
to Von Teese tells People. "His partying contributed to the split as
well."

singer/actress and Mississippi native Brandy caused a Dec. 30, 2006,
chain-reaction accident that left a 38-year-old mother dead. According to
the reports, the singer, whose name is Brandy Norwood, was driving 65 mph
on a Los Angeles 405 freeway when traffic slowed. Her 2007 Land Rover
rear-ended a Toyota, which then struck another Toyota. The first Toyota
was then hit by an Acura. The singer was not injured. She was not arrested
and there was no evidence that drugs or alcohol were involved. The mother,
Awatef Aboudihaj, who was in the first Toyota, died the next day. The
Authorities are determining who started the accident and what impact
Brandy played before considering charges against her or others in the
accident. I do not understand why, it was an accident, and she did
not flee, so what is the problem. A statement released Wednesday by
Barnes said Brandy “wishes to publicly express her condolences to the
family of the deceased. Brandy asks that you respect the privacy of every
one involved at this time.”

A
Sister Station in California is in hot water for a contest it held.
The station held a water drinking contest and a contestant died
afterwards. E.107.9 The End, today's hit music station in California
(FM), was going crazy trying to figure out what happened. The woman had
drank nearly two gallons of water without going to the bathroom. She
died hours later of water intoxication. The Sacramento County Sheriff's
Office has launched a homicide investigation into the death of Jennifer
Lea Strange, a mother of three who died after drinking too much water
during a radio-station contest on Jan. 12.
The Strange family is also expected to file a wrongful death suit against
KDND-FM, the station responsible for the contest, the winner of which won
a video game console. On Tuesday, KDND's parent company, Entercom/Sacramento,
fired 10 employees connected to the contest, including three morning disc
jockeys. The company also took the morning show off the air.
To add insult to stupidity:
As participants in KDND-FM's water-drinking contest chugged bottle after
bottle, a listener called in to warn the disc jockeys that the stunt could
be fatal. At one point, the DJs even alluded to a college student who died
during a similar stunt in 2005.
Madonna
was nearly chased off the road after her appearance on David Letterman's
Late Show. She even called the NYPD for help. Two vehicles
were reportedly tailgating Madonna's car and her Chauffeur tried to lose
them by turning on 5th Ave. The nutcases then tried to ram Madonna's car,
forcing her to call 911. NYPD sources did not confirm her call but
they were aware of the incident. Letterman had let Madonna speak
about her controversial adoption of the African orphan, and about Britney
Spears pantyless photo op.

my favorite radio stations, so to be joining the station is incredibly
exciting," he told industry trade magazine 'Radio & Records.' "Pat and I
have a lot of exciting things planned, and I can't wait to get started."
The new show will replace the five year time slot which was commandeered
by smooth jazz luminary Dave Koz, who plans to embark on world tour in
support of his forthcoming 'At The Movies' CD.
Angelina Jolie is smoking mad about Madonna's African Adoption.
She feels that Madonna used the countries weak laws to circumvent normal
adoption policy. Human rights groups agree with her however.
She stopped short of calling the adoption criminal. And since we are
on Angelina and Brad, Jennifer Anniston has asked if she could see the newest
child of Brad. She feels that she is now able to be happy for him.
She/Jennifer is thinking of either adopting or having her own child soon.
She is not thinking of dating right this second but hopefully have a son
soon or in near future.
David Styles commonly known as Styles P was
driving his 2003 Mercedes on the Saw Mill Parkway in Westchester County
when he was allegedly cut off by a truck driven by 50 year old John
Henson.
According to
an interview by Hot 97's Miss Info, Styles P got out of the car to ask
what happened and the older man lost control of the car after
flipping him the bird. Hitting both his car and P., styles suffered
a broken leg. Styles who released his sophomore album Time is Money
last week was treated for his injuries at Westchester Medical Center.
Henson was charged with second degree assault and is expected to appear in
court in Jan 2nd. Styles said the media has blown a minor accident
out of proportion. He said all that happened was that the man said
he was scared by P, and that he backed into him, after flipping him the
bird. He said that he had not threatened the man, and had
weapons/things in the car but not on his person. He said that he was just
trying to straighten up the story, since the story got out that he tried
to cut off the man back.

And gie's a hand o' thine

Ruben Garay, the webmaster of World of Britney (worldofbritney.com)
and arguably her biggest devotee, has announced plans to shut down the
six-year-old site in the wake of the "Toxic" singer's recent run of
questionable behavior. "As Britney keeps losing her identity and
credibility within fans and industry people, so is [World of Britney],"
Garay writes. "I believe Britney is unfortunately done (for me at least).
No matter what anyone thinks or how they may disagree, it's very hard to
maintain the respect needed to keep things going." The Web shrine, which
bears the motto "Dream, Create, Deliver, Inspire" and has meticulously
chronicled all things Spears for the better part of the millennium, will
continue to run until Jan. 31. We have to agree, this is getting bad, even
the editors here are afraid to pick up copy when it has Britney's name on
it.
A nationwide
talent search for dancers fleet-footed enough to back up Beyonce Knowles
came to the pop diva's hometown as hundreds turned out to audition for 40
open slots. The would-be performers took turns Saturday moving through
choreographed routines to such Beyonce hits as "Deja Vu," while cameras
recorded their footwork and choreographer Frank Gaston studied their
style. Houston was the third location in the cross-country search,
following auditions in Atlanta and Los Angeles. After two more stops, in
New York and Chicago, Gaston and Beyonce will review the tapes.
There will be 30 finalists from each city. The finalists get a trip to
either New York or Los Angeles, where the numbers will be pared to the
final 40. The selected dancers will earn $1,500 to $3,000 a week and
get extensive exposure at Beyonce's performances, said Gaston, who
choreographs Beyonce's videos and has worked with En Vogue and Toni
Braxton.
Paris Hilton got a
helping hand from her friendly neighborhood paparazzi after her Bentley
ran out of gas. She was stuck in traffic when she ran out of gas. They

it in for her. Gave her back her change and they followed her home.
She was on her way to the movies and meet friends, at the time she ran out
of gas. She was gracious from what was seen.
The childhood
home of Ringo Starr may be saved from the wrecking ball. Negotiations are
under way to dismantle the condemned Liverpool row house and rebuild it as
part of a major new museum in the northwestern English city, officials
said Wednesday. The Liverpool City Council approved the demolition of the
tiny Victorian house on Madryn Street, one of more than 400 properties to
be razed for a redevelopment project, in 2005, despite protests from
Beatles fans.
The council ruled that the house, where Starr lived for about three months
before his family moved to another street nearby, had no historic
significance.
National Museums Liverpool said talks were under way with the council and
the house's owner to preserve the home as part of the new dockside Museum
of Liverpool, slated to open in 2008. The childhood homes of John Lennon
and Paul McCartney are both owned by the National Trust heritage group and
are open to the public.

Keith Urban says that his life had become
"unmanageable"
before he entered rehab on Oct. 19,Urban says there was "no cataclysmic
event" that convinced him to enter the Betty Ford Clinic in Palm Springs,
Calif. Rather, he says in the video, "What it was, was a lot of small
things that were happening in my life, and a lot of small moments that
were starting to accumulate that were telling me very loud and clear that
I was a long way from my program of recovery, and they were making my life
unmanageable."
Just weeks after her ex-boyfriend, Zach Braff, admitted
suffering from mild depression, Mandy Moore has revealed she also
struggles with the blues. Moore, 22, and Braff, 31, split last year. Moore
says the separation did not trigger her depression, but may have
exacerbated it. "The breakup added to what I was going through, but it's
not the complete reason," she says. "It definitely doesn't help if you're
already in that place."
The
contract between the Halle Berry, and all those doing work on her property
has a few interesting clauses: First, any worker is prohibited to approach
Berry while in the home or on the premises. Second, no one is allowed to
speak to the A-list Miss B at any time. Finally, the only approved
interaction is if Halle speaks to you, then you may answer. The unnamed
co, said yes.. Oh and to the rumor on Halle singing, on a label, that is a
definite nope...

B.B. King has been released from the hospital. The 81-year-old
singer was admitted to the University of Texas Medical Branch at
Galveston"] on Thursday because of fever and forced to cancel a
performance that night. The legendary bluesman was hospitalized in the
acute care unit for the elderly. According to his management company, this
was because of his advanced years. "It was just the residue from a bout
with the flu and it was low-grade fever." "He's now feeling fabulous
and going back to work on Tuesday," says his people. "He will be playing
Bass Performance Hall in Forth Worth, Texas. The dates that he has missed
have already been rescheduled for June."
