Nicolas Cage's
wife of 14 months gave birth on Monday to the couple's first child together, a son they named Kal-el -- a moniker recognized by comic book fans as the birth name of Superman. The child's delivery in New York City and his full name, Kal-el Coppola Cage, were confirmed by the actor's publicist, Annett Wolf, who said of the family, "They are healthy and happy and it's quite lovely." on the subject of the TV show "Smallville", both the season finale and the new season opener had so many people on the edges of the seats. Can't wait to see what this season brings to the WB.

Remember
September 11th is this Sunday, take time to remember your friends,
neighbors and loved ones, it is a time to reflect and hope for more in
this lifetime. I was saddened at the thought of so many dying in New
Orleans from a natural disaster, to so many dying from a man made one.
I am a NYer, am a survivor, since I was supposed to be in a meeting there
but was called away to other things. I will miss those towers, and
the people lost, whether I knew them or not, for I could have been besides
them now. May you rest in peace.

The Dj's of Sure Record Pool was out and showing their skills in the
annual West Indian Parade in Brooklyn NY. It was a nice day, full of
fun and merriment. If you was out there you got taste great food, it
is the fifth largest parade, actually it is the largest parade in the
borough of Brooklyn.
The Caribbean's that come from many islands to
celebrate and enjoy. Even though there was a shooting, one person
died, it was a beautiful day. The performances are usually great and full of
dancing in the street. It did not matter if you was from Barbados,
Cuban, Jamaican, Puerto Rica, or from Hati, they all was out there having
fun for the most part. Of course there was some problems but for the most
part a good day. Not to make light of the person shot that day. Usually a great time had by all. It is
like a crop over-jump contest held here in NY. Oh what a day...

Jay Z in a related story to Kanye, backed Kanye's statements in a Billboard interview in London. Jay was also disappointed in the Governments slow response to the victims of Katrina. Rapper Kanye West's recent unscripted speech about the government's relief efforts have prompted many to question the role race plays during the relief operations. Since Kanye was not the only one to sound off, we have to mention our Canadian songstress (Celine Dion) also got on the government also for its response to this disaster.

Blast
from the past -
Ricky Martin has been blazing up the charts
lately with his new video (I don't care), which is burning up the charts.
After taking a long break from singing the flourishing artist is hitting
the ground running. Even fat Joe, lends his skills to this hot
video. Ricky has never been one to sit on his laurels too long, so
this has not come as a surprise, but a long awaited promise. Ricky
Martin was one of the biggest teen idols in Latin America during the '90s.
A lead singer of Menudo, Martin was blessed with good looks and a nice
voice, which helped him become a Latin music star. He also became an
actor, earning praise
from the Mexican motion picture industry and starring on the American soap
opera General Hospital, where he played Miguel Morez, a bartender who
sings on the weekend. Another group that has surprised us was the
Backstreet Boys glazing with a new track that
you must check out. This group has refused to fall by the race that,
they just came out with this new set of songs that has also been
long-awaited. We have to see what is in store for the future for
both artists since taking a long hiatus from the music world. AJ
from the Backstreet Boys, hasn't yet been working for a while singing, has
worked on Jesse McCartney's new record, "Only you".
