Militant rap-rock group Rage Against the Machine reunited after a seven-Rage against the Machineyear absence during a California music festival over the weekend, offering a sharpened version of their old message: fight the power. Rage, which broke up when singer Zack de la Rocha left to begin an uneventful solo career, topped the U.S. pop album charts twice in the 1990s with releases steeped in leftist politics and anti-corporate tirades. The group's reunion gig was the most-anticipated performance of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in the desert town of Indio, about 120 miles east of Los Angeles. The three-day festival drew 60,000 fans and took place in temperatures reaching 103 degrees Fahrenheit (39 Celsius).

Brit star Des'ree, it was due to Beyoncé alleged misuse of Des'ree's "I'm Kissing You" on Beyoncé's new deluxe B'Day package. This week? BOOM. Distribution of that same package is now temporarily "halted"--meaning that at this very moment forward-looking entrepreneurs are rushing to record stores looking for scattered copies to bring home and offer up on e-Bay for a million dollars per unit! Say what you will about the supposed short-sightedness of our present-day Record Industry, somebody's going to make a bundle off this package, so catch it at the local bootlegger or try to get it yourself, like me.

Hip-hop leaders called on the music industry and broadcast outlets to voluntarily follow a new, tougher standard for language in the wake of the controversy about rappers' use of lyrics demeaning to women.

Well, it has been a whirlwind but Asia has won the Pussycat Doll Search competition.  Now the work begins, for this native NYer.

A band calling themselves The M+Ms are to play at the House of Blues San Britney Spears baldDiego on Tuesday, May 1. According to New Music Express, The M+Ms' are suspected to be Britney Spears , whose rumored on-again, off-again comeback appears to be back on.  The Forty Deuce's relationship with Spears became tabloid fodder back in December 2006, when the singer was photographed swapping outfits with some of the club's burlesque dancers. According to club owner Ivan Kane, Spears' was originally to play a short set at the Forty Deuce nightclub in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 26.  They ran through the set several times, the choreography was smokin' and she sounded great," Kane says.

Kitty Carlisle Hart, the stage and film actress who served as chairperson of the New York State Council of the Arts for 20 years beginning in 1976, and thereafter functioned as one of the city's most visible advocates and symbols of the performing arts, died on April 17, her longtime musical director David Lewis confirmed. She was 96. The cause was pneumonia.
Ok, now it is on, the catfight is on.  Nelly Fergie for MTV awardssupposedly put a couple of lines in her song Fergerolicious to attack Fergie.  And now Fergie shot back and put in a line for Nelly Furtado reportedly saying/alluding to the fact that Nelly wears a wig. "I aint Permiscuous,I'm a pully your wig back" or whatever Fergie said with some other lines.  Fergie also got mad at Alanis Morisette, who did a slow version of her song with a cake. The cake was shaped as a butt. Bad Fergie, Bravo Fergie, I must say that was different.  At least no actual claws came out and that would be bad.  Fergie is much taller than Nelly and got some strength on Alanis.  I do not take sides, I love all these ladies, and do not know why this happening, ok that said where's the baby oil, and my popcorn.
Gwen Stefani has lost the weight, the baby weight that is.  The platinum haired pop star flaunted her new that the new A-list figure for the "My Fair Lady", inspired straight in Harper's Bazaar.  Harper's Bazaar new cover, with Gwen Stefani cover hits the newsstands on April 24. She gives credit to their son, breast-feeding help tended to get back into shape.

The Police have been having a hell of a time shopping their new album.. After 24 years, they finally have some new songs. The stuff that they had been shopping around to the record companies was Jazzy and New Agey like Stings Solo albums.  But the Exec's want them to Rock it out, saying they do not like the rough new material.  I say leave it to the fans, let The Police put the music on their site and see what the people say and go from there. Madonna, Genesis and the re-formed Police will top a galaxy of stars rocking the world against climate change in seven mammoth concerts around the globe on July 7, organizers said Tuesday.

Hey I went to see the Grindhouse movies, and it was good.  I grew up with sneaking out of school, to go down to see the grind house movies.  Those were movies shown on 42nd street in the city.  Movies that were long, had cheesy commercials, and you was in the movie theatre all day.  One of my favorites was 'Faces of Death', and it was awesome looking at the whole movie.  Most think of that as being a documentary in parts. I loved the second movie the best and even though it was a long movie, it was a great time.  I love to have a good movie.. Even though a lot of people did not get to see it last weekend, it is a movie to go and see.  It even has the cheesy surprises...lol.

Hot 97s Cipha Sounds Birthday is the 19th of this month so Happy Birthday to him and all April Djs and Singers in the industry like...

It was said out of Keith Richards mouth that he snorted his dads ashes with some cocaine and lived.  This has been met with mixed reactions, but not so surprising to fans.  He has been known as the no. 1 star that was next to die for 10 years running.  Although his attorney has sent out a memo lately denouncing the comment saying that the comment was a joke.  Especially better be because the man died in 2002 making the act kind of nasty.  To think that a couple of years ago he may have done that, well lets leave that ok

Ok, now here is a scoop, it was said that Mariah is looking for love, no not a man but a child.  She was seen visiting orphanages in Mexico.  She shot back and said she is not exactly ready for kids but with the trend of stars going to other countries to pick kids and raise them, could you blame her.  But who would not want to be Mariah's baby daddy.  She is still very young and her child would be dynamite.  Even though this trend that was really brought to be the in-thing was Angelina, it has given Hollywood pause.  You never know who will be next.

Jennifer Lopez at her signing at the FYE Store. Jennifer Lopez poses for pictures during a CD signing in New York, Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Lopez was promoting her newly released all-Spanish album 'Como Ama Una Mujer'. What is more Amazing is that the Media outlet that usually sells her and behind her is cutting her off.  According to reports, she has cut them out and they cut her out of all their stores and off shelves.  Mistake if I dare say, Ritmo Latino the largest of the Latin music is not deterred.  David Massry of Ritmo Latino told the Daily News that she refused to promote her CD in any of our stores and any other Latino-only retail outlets.  David said that "We supported her from the beginning, Now we are told that she will only go to Anglo/White only retail outlet stores"??  I think Dave should chill because knowing the Boricua Princess as I do and did, she was not truly appraised or was forced to work with certain outlets.  Unfortunately it cuts some out, but you have to compromise, not always for the better.  Any way Ritmo has 50 stores in the U.S. and it may take some personal mending to fix this debacle.  As of Now, Ritmo is banning all of her CD's from their stores for turning her back on Hispanic shops.  Funny thing is, this is a Spanish CD!!!  Is this not a kick in the head! Jen has not issued a statement yet, probably not heard about this yet.  More on story in news

Bono has received Knighthood, but asks to please do not call him Sir Bono, either Lord of Lords, or your demi-godness will do!!! The newly knighted Knight Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (KBE) can't be called "Sir", mostly because he is not British.

Ricky Martin defended the right of pop stars to come out of the closet, saying he felt solidarity with Christian Chavez of Mexican band RBD, who recently said publicly that he is gay. "Life is too short to live closed up, guarding what you say," said Martin - whose sexual orientation has been the subject of speculation - in an interview with The Associated Press. Christian "has to be free in many aspects. I wish him much strength."
Martin, who was named person of the year in 2006 by the Latin Recording Academy, has hits including "Livin' la Vida Loca" and "Shake Your Bon-Bon." He said his nonprofit Ricky Martin Foundation inspires him in his songwriting. One of the foundation's programs, People for Children, works toward the elimination of human trafficking, especially trafficking of children. "When you start to work with social problems, it gets the attention of the media and people think it's a farce," the 35-year-old singer said. "It's a spiritual search. The philanthropic work helps me write music and the music helps me in the philanthropic work."

Spiderman 3 hits this month as Spidey Week will rock the NYC skyline.  We will be inundated with new Spiderman events for the upcoming film release of Spiderman 3. The Dark costume will come and for the nonbelievers, (a famous saying of the creator Stan Lee) the costume will come alive and dark.  This creature (Venom) was originally from the Secret Wars and for those loyal readers, they know alot about what happens when the costume is thrown away. We know that Venom in the end sought out a new host and finally found one, a rival of Parkers. A dangerous man and not wrapped too tight but it was a dangerous foe. This will likely be a great week, which will run from April 30th-May 6th with events all over the city.  This is the City that the Spiderman protects and makes sure it is protected from super villains of all sorts.  Peter Parker was born in Queens and lives now in a small apartment in NYC, what can be better. Well true believers, I leave you with this, make mine Marvel... (Smile) "Spider-Man: The Broadway Musical?" check this out..

The Hills have Eyes two was a good movie, having seen it this week.  The monsters are great as they hack away with a great thrill that comes with a horror movie of its caliber.  I was amazed that the Army Reserves were taken to paces but you will love this movie if you love blood and gore.  I felt that it could have been better but hey life surely is fun.  At least I got together and closer with a very nice hottie.. lol.  A good movie to get to know one another, and hope to give/get a  good night kiss.. lol.

If no hearing is scheduled, Anderson must be freed, the court said.
Marc Anthony is in trouble now, with the IRS.  The star has not paid taxes in the last 5 years so far, personally or business-wise.  This has raised the ire of the IRS.  He has however worked something out, he owes about $2.5 Million in back taxes.  What will kill him is the late fees as most stars would tell you that have gotten caught out there. Remember guys, you will get caught up sooner or later and for a lot more than you think.  It got Capone and many others sent to jail.
The Bacon Brothers are back in NYC.  They were on the WB 11 morning show.  Kevin has short hair again and it is brown for a part he said, they performed.  They are performing for a great benefit in Long Island.  They are part of a Venue, A Concert for Mother Earth at LIU-Long Island University Campus, Sentilly Center, Brookville Long Island at 7:30pm.  Sharon Osborne and a host of others will be in attendance. 6 degrees.org is their website The Bacon Brothers have done 5 Albums together, not bad stuff at that.
Don Imus of Imus in the Morning was in trouble today over comments that he made over a Rutgers woman's basketball players.  This was supposedly a very stinging remark, so much so that he apologized this morning. Don Imus hosts WFAN's Imus in the Morning which airs live from MSNBC World Headquarters weekday mornings on MSNBC from 6-9am Eastern. Dons critics want him off the air. Don called the Rutgers girls, nappy headed hoes, some hard core tattooed hoes, the remarks did not end there. It was heard all over the world, with the black journalist association being inflamed and speaking out. Imus said sorry for his ill conceived remarks, and he was not received well by many opponents. MSNBC was upset and distanced themselves from him and his remarks.  Many Journalists have come out against the MC and his remarks, and rightly so, and not letting him off.  Well it seems neither is Both CBS Radio and MSNBC, which airs simulcasts of Imus' show, said they were suspending the program for two weeks..  After his attempts of trying to apologize and no one believing his sincerity.  This is another example of what can happen, but at least they are not sending him to sensitivity training, oh wait, that might be a good idea. Anyway, he went to Rev. Sharpton's radio Show on Monday and still critics are not convinced, I guess that sometimes when you are lewd and rude, you get the horns. The Rutgers female basketball players called "nappy-headed hos" by Don Imus are ready to voice their opinions on the remarks that led CBS Radio and MSNBC to suspend his morning talk show for two weeks. He drew even more fire when on Sharpton's Radio Show he referred to Sharpton and a Congresswoman as 'You people' The Rutgers campus is furious to upset of the attack on their team.  There are mixed feelings on whether to fire the Jock.  But advertisers are smartly distancing themselves from him, especially from his comments. Rutgers women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer on Tuesday called comments made by radio host Don Imus "racist and sexists remarks that are deplorable, despicable and unconscionable." click for more.. Although many on the Rutgers campus do not want to see Don Imus fired, many were hurt by his comments.  Well, CBS fired him, MSNBC shelved him and he is now on his own.  Rev. Sharpton had gone up to CBS today to ask about firing him. When CBS let the news out. The backlash that has come out was a little too much for any company to weather.  Sorry to hear Imus...
I do not know why this issue starts with Paris but this will be a story in Progress. Paris could face Jail if her probation is revoked.  Prosecutors in LA city Attorneys office said 3/29/07 that plan to ask a judge to revoke Paris Hiltons probation, basically because the tart was grabbed last month driving with an suspended license.  Paris could face up to 90 days in prison, if the judge decides that the dummy did violate probation, coming from her alcohol related reckless driving case back in September. Nick Vasquez, the dept. spokesman says that his office is "confident" that there is sufficient evidence to prove Paris knew her license was suspended.  Paris's people claim she did not know about the suspension, when Paris's Bentley was pulled over in February.

'The Simple Life' star Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with the blood disorder hypoglycemia. The condition means the skinny socialite's blood sugar levels are often too low to provide an adequate amount of energy for her body. The diagnosis comes less than a month after Richie was hospitalized for dehydration after becoming sick while filming the new season of her hit reality show, in which she and pal Paris Hilton have been counseling children at a health camp. Remember last month we said, Four or five times she's felt really faint and almost passed out and then she has to go into her trailer for a good part of the day. This was the cause, everyone thought it was drugs or otherwise, here is the real cause.

Beyonce is in the news once again, A Manhattan judge has thrown out a $1.5 million suit against Beyonce and her mom Tina. Gregory Walker had charged that the Knowles clan stiffed him out of his fee on a $15 million deal paying him only $110,000.  Ok, now that is just a not right, are you kidding me stupid take your money and go.  I cannot believe the nerve of this guy going to court for that.  He was never going to win, and now has to pay his lawyer, so he has less than he started with.

The reunited Smashing Pumpkins will end their six-and-a-half year hiatus on May 22 when they play a theater show in Paris, the first date of a tour of European festivals, a spokesman said on Wednesday. Besides original members Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, it is unknown who else is in the lineup. The band will unveil songs from its upcoming Reprise Records album "Zeitgeist," its first CD since 2000's "Machina/The Machines of God." A release date has not been set. Amid increasing intra-band tensions, the Pumpkins played a marathon farewell show in their Chicago hometown on December 2, 2000. Since the breakup, Corgan pursued various solo projects with little success. In 2005, he took out a full-page ad in a Chicago newspaper to announce reunion plans. After the May 22 show at the Grand Rex, the Pumpkins will head to the Dutch city of Landgraf for the Pink pop festival on May 28. They will subsequently travel to Spain, Germany, Portugal, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and England. They will also play the North American V Festival shows in Washington, D.C. on August 5 and Toronto on September 8. A statement said to "stay tuned" for news on more North American dates.

Bobby Brown has missed concerts, court dates and child-support payments, but his failure to show up for a hearing on Wednesday may have cost him custody of his 14-year-old daughter. According to the Los Angeles Times, the singer was not present to hear his ex, Whitney Houston, tell an Orange County, California, judge that she doesn't need spousal support or child support to raise their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, without Brown. Houston described Brown as unreliable and a bad communicator. Superior Court Judge Franz Miller ruled that the divorce would become effective April 24, ending the couple's rocky 14-year marriage, with Brown getting visitation rights and facing the possibility of child-support payments in the future, if necessary. Brown's representative said he planned to file a motion to set aside the divorce ruling. This does not look good for Bobby..
