Amazing Finds

What is amazing is the fact that there are just so many sites devoted to different things.  I was doing some investigative reporting, ok we were in a meeting on what was the dumbest thing we heard of devoting a site to but was functional and we were amazed.  I was blown away as the reporters were buzzing and I was bored.  I was talking with the other editors and we sat down to wonder what the team was going to come up with.  It was funny, we were joking and trying to figure who was going to come back with something stupid, funny, but something evidently needed by someone.  We got tired of guessing which reporter would find something first and then we started saying that we could do this.  I said " I could do it and and so the others, so we scoured the net.  And guess who won, and got to write about it.  I should have made the other writers write it for me but it would not have this banter and flavor and I would end up re-writing it anyway. Well, here was the winner, hands down.

How many times do you find yourself searching for a public restroom.  You keep walking into places and finding the sign 'For Patrons Only' or 'For Customers Only'?  Or even the dreaded, 'We Do Not have a Restroom' shouted or slurred by some minimum wage employee having a bad day with attitude.  Well, there is a site dedicated to of all things, finding the Nearest Restroom.  What is more amazing yet, there is a rating system in place for all things, the restroom.  I was so put back I had to search the site.  It also had great restaurants on it.  When you got to go, you got to go.  I was amazed at the automation of it.  Well the site is named MizPee.com.

MizPee finds the closest, cleanest toilet and gives you entertaining reading material once you get there. Since the service is cell phone-based, it's always with you, when you really need it.  Here's what you do: Send as a text message your city and state (e.g. "New York, NY") to the following number: 415-350-2290.  It gives you a location, name of place and whether a purchase is required. How is that for funny, weird, but something inherently useful?  I was amazed that the guys came back with stupid sites that had no function but once I showed mine off, the thought became clear the drones and only two actually got what we were looking for, besides the other Editors, who came in not even close to this story. 

Now isn't that an amazing find, I was smiling to myself at the simplicity and function of the website. It serves a need, it is a funny thought but hey, we all must use the restroom and it is nice to find out some great things as we searched the web, this was one of the best sites from an obscure point of view, but the detail and foresight that went into finding the restrooms, asking if they were free to the public, if they had changing tables and such was very interesting and amazing the attention to detail. I know that it is a service that most would use, especially if you have children and elderly parents with you, to find the nearest one, when you need one fast.  Well it has been fun walking through with you the site that won, and as you can see, it is something else, something you might very well use and you have to agree with me, this one site stands out among many on the net.  I want to thank all the writers on Red zone who gave in articles and the Editors who worked on finding the best story.  I was taken back by how many people actually has been writing in on the article and have asked to have the link. 

Because this is computer information story I must remind you that it is great on the cell phone is best used on one.  Once you have linked to the site on your cell, you will have the easiest way in which to find a rest room.  Not everyone carries a Laptop or computer with them everywhere as my mother says, talking to my father and I. So I must mention that this is best as part of the cell phone, for it is the easiest.   Technology is great but not everyone has a laptop, but most do have a cell phone and the willingness to use it.  For all you text addicts out there, check out the site.  Thank you for your time and enjoy your browsing.
