Thousands gathered at the wake held in NY Apollo Theatre.  He got his first big break here and had to leave from the same stage.  He was driven though the city on horse drawn carriage.  They stood throughout the night to say good bye with long lines.  The well-wishers ranged in age, color, sexual orientation to come say goodbye to the God Father of Soul, Mr. James Brown, known for so many things.  Too many came out, some had to be turned away.  More on James Brown the Soul man. The USO will soon be distributing its one millionth Operation USO Care Package. Initiated in 2001 by the USO of Metropolitan Washington, the Operation USO Care Package program distributes care packages to service members deploying to Afghanistan, Iraq and other overseas locations, as well as troops arriving and departing on rest and recuperation (R&R) flights. Care packages can contain prepaid international calling cards, refreshments, disposable cameras, toiletries, compact discs and other items requested by service men and women. Last year, 550 volunteers at "NORAD Tracks Santa" answered more than 55,000 telephone calls and 7,000 e-mails from children around the world inquiring about Santa's whereabouts on Christmas Eve. The project is again seeking volunteers. To become a NORAD Santa Tracker volunteer this year, send an e-mail to nnc.pa.nts.omb@northcom.mil and registration forms will be forwarded to you. No experience is required and anyone who has access to Peterson Air Force Base and is age 14 or older can volunteer. Shifts are two hours long. Meanwhile, if you or a child you love wants to track Santa's trip this Christmas Eve, visit the NORAD Santa website or call the toll free number 1-877-Hi-NORAD.

It seems that from this point on, the infamous Miss Britney Spears-Federline has gone out her way to be in the spot light.  Her Dropping the baby to now the breakup with Kevin, oh no lets not forget the new stuff, what is it now, She flashed the crowd without underwear fiasco, and late night partying.  This all leads reporters and others wondering what happened to the kids.  She has now been seen with heiress Paris Hilton on the party circuit, bad move on her part because the paparazzi is buzzing around her like hawks on prey.  What is wrong with this girl, while she is in the news the divorce ink is hardly dry and with Kevin threatening to take the kids, this all might get him his wish. And with the other bad-good girl Lindsay Lohan being the third in this bizarre mix, we are wondering who next, Nicole Ritchie?  Her behavior is a stretch for even her and leaving many to wondering where is this all going with her.  When will she either wake up, hit a wall or bottom to get back on the normal horse.  Britt's Legal team are worried about the sole custody battle ahead and asking the starlet to distance her from the drama of Paris, and probably Lindsay Lohan also.   Well we hope to see less pics of girl who is not so innocent...  But nothing brings it home like this fans so here is a tribute from fans, click here.  For more on Brit..

PETA's worst-dressed - Nicole Richie is a winner, but her recent award isn't exactly an honor. PETA has named the 25-year-old its worst dresser of the year for flaunting fashions made from animal hides. "This pelt-wearing party girl is all animal skin and bones," says the animal-rights organization. "She's an incredible shrinking woman with the heart to match." Ashley Olsen and Christina Ricci landed at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, on the loser list.

In order to become a Mom, JLo is turning it is said to Scientology.  She is being mentored by a friend after being told that it can help her to conceive.  Marc Anthony and his wife are both catholic and Marc will not switch but he will let his wife do about anything if she feels it will help her to conceive.  That-a-boy Marc, I would not get into it either.  She has a temper if she wants things bad enough.  But then so is Marc so... leaving it alone.

Lindsay Lohan has been turning around just recently.  She must have seen herself as others have.  She is attending AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings.  Hopefully she will curtail some of that surrounds her.  Her mom showed and tried to help her by asking her to stay in a couple nights a week.  Lindsay skipped a Thanksgiving dinner due to, in her mind a staged intervention put out by her family to be done sometime during that day.  Poor kid, at least she wants this on her own, she might make it if she tries.

As a person from the armed services, I had to show off what it looks like to be in a battle group.  I have some pics of Carriers and stuff.  I hope that you like them.  This folks, is the US Navy in full colors.  

Rachel Hunter and Rod Stewart are finally getting a divorce after 7 years of being separated and in the meantime Rod had a child with Penny. Stewart had married Hunter in 1990 after a three-month romance, despite their 24-year age difference.  Stewart and Hunter's marriage produced two children, Renee, 14, and Liam, 12.

 Rocker Rod Stewart has finally divorced his second wife Rachel Hunter, seven years after she walked out on him. Divorce papers signed by both the “Maggie May” rocker and model Hunter were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Nov. 2 ,and were made public today. The 61-year-old is now free to marry his fiancée Penny Lancaster, 35. The model/photographer Lancaster gave birth to son Alastair last year, Stewart's seventh child.

Spike Video Game Awards 2006, Wed. The movie adaptation of the famed Broadway musical "Dreamgirls" stars Oscar-winning actor Jamie Foxx, chart-topping singer Beyonce Knowles and long-time favorite Eddie Murphy.  But Jennifer Hudson is surprised by the talk of an Oscar, it's because her resume was rather thin: She is a college drop-out with six months' experience singing on a cruise ship who later reached a mere seventh place on the TV audition show American Idol.                                 

"It's the biggest honor I could possibly get. I'm so grateful," Jennifer Hudson says of the buzz that she may win an Oscar for her Cinderella turn in the role of Effie.  Now her silver screen debut has already won her fans even before the movie opens in New York and Los Angeles on December 15 and nationwide on December 25. At media screenings, the press have greeted Hudson's performance with rounding applause.

Eddie Murphy and former Spice Girl Melanie Brown may have dated earlier this year, but the actor-comedian is making it clear that he's not sure if he's the father of her unborn child. Eddie, who stars in the upcoming "Dreamgirls" film, was recently asked if he was excited that Brown known as Scary Spice when she was in the mega hit group of the '90s was pregnant. She has been photographed recently with an expanding belly.  Eddie, 45, escorted film producer Tracey Edmonds to the premiere of "Dreamgirls" in New York on Monday night. When asked by Television News reporters if Edmonds is his "new lady," he smiled and replied, "Yeah." The British Science Museum's 'Game On' lecture series, Professor Mark Griffiths of Nottingham Trent University will unveil their results of a new survey of over 7000 online computer gamers. The study, which collected data from one of the biggest sample sizes in the online gaming field, highlights that one in nine online gamers (12%) show at least three signs of addiction. Game On includes more than 120 games, including the world's first computer game from 1962, alongside today's technologically advanced game systems. British rocker Pete Doherty smiled and hugged fans outside court on Monday after a judge ruled he will not serve jail time for possession of drugs including heroine and crack cocaine. District Judge Jane McIvor ordered the 27-year-old Baby shambles singer to pay $1,525 in fines and court costs and forbid him for driving for four months.(Dec. 11) - Rapper Foxy Brown  was summoned to court unexpectedly Monday after being accused of violating probation stemming from a fight in a nail salon more than two years ago. Foxy, appearing in Manhattan Criminal Court, where she was sentenced in October to three years probation, was accused of failing to keep appointments with probation officers, appear for anger management classes and submit to drug tests. Foxy "is flouting the court-ordered conditions of her probation," said Shawnda Weinberg, a lawyer for the city Department of Probation. "She's asked for special treatment. She's told us, `I'm not like them (others on probation)"'

Prince will perform during the halftime show at the Super Bowl in February.  Prince , the 48-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee who rose to fame on the strength of such tunes as "Little Red Corvette" and "Let's Go Crazy," will perform at Dolphin Stadium near Miami on Sunday, February 4. The game will be televised on CBS, a unit of CBS Corp. This year's event, held in Detroit, drew 91 million viewers in the United States, according to Nielsen Media Research. It's unlikely Prince will have problems with censors from the network and the National Football League. He has become a Jehovah's Witness and disavowed the kinkier tunes that make up a hefty chunk of his catalog.  At least he wont be sharing this with his ex.
Federline, who earlier this fall signed with the WWE to appear in some staged fights and was even body slammed by Cena in October, was there to promote his New Year's Day face-off.  And though the rapper is poised to for an uphill battle with Spears over custody of the couple's two children – Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James who was born Sept. 12 – the 28-year-old says he'll be the victor when he meets the 6,1", 240-lb. There is a new survey has revealed that gaming is fast becoming a family activity as more and more technology aware parents engage with their children in their favorite pass time.  An online survey of 1,014 U.S. children and their parents, commissioned by Activision and conducted by the Harrison Group, has found that 58 per cent of parents said they play video games and during over half of this time they play with their children. This clearly shows that parents who play video games also seek to engage with their children in this activity suggesting that they do not believe video gaming to be inherently dangerous.  It is however clear that as the industry matures so will the first gamers who are bound to introduce their offspring to their hobby. The recent release of retro game titles by Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft for their new consoles suggests that they are eager to cash in on parents as they introduce their children to games which shaped their own childhood , which is not a bad thing ya know.

New and just in, I cannot believe I am saying this, Paris might be growing up.  According to new reports, she gave up speaking at the awards because she did not like the jokes that were prepared for her.  She did not want to ridicule her closest friends and so said no to the Billboard presenting.  In another stroke, Paris might know the code of friendship but Britney does not.  She has been seen going after Paris's Ex Brendan Davis.  This may have some problems later between the 2.

She has grossed over $145 million US Dollars from tour ticket sales and over $35 million US Dollars in merchandise from her tours. Her Elizabeth Arden perfume range is a bestseller worldwide. Curious, Fantasy, and Curious: In Control ranked over $40 million in sales in their first eight weeks on the market. She is set to release her next perfume, Midnight Fantasy, early 2007.  Spears, who turns 25 on Saturday, and Hilton were inseparable while hitting L.A. hotspots over the holiday weekend. People magazine reported Wednesday on its Web site that the duo will co-host the 2006 Billboard Music Awards, scheduled to air live in Las Vegas on Monday

Wiggles' lead singer to stop performing
SYDNEY, Australia - The lead singer of the hugely popular children's group The Wiggles announced Thursday he will stop performing after being diagnosed with a chronic condition that causes dizziness, fatigue and nausea. The man in yellow is him, he was replaced by the understudy, Sam Morgan. He has been filling in for 8 yrs for the group. 

Though he's lost many fans after being captured on video hurling racist epithets at a comedy club audience, Michael Richards has an ally: Mel Gibson. "I felt like sending Michael Richards (Kramer), a note," Gibson says in an interview in Entertainment Weekly's Dec. 8 issue.
"I feel really badly for the guy. He was obviously in a state of stress. You don't need to be inebriated to be bent out of shape. But my heart went out to the guy."  The 50-year-old actor-director added: "They'll probably torture him for a while and then let him go. I like him."

After his Nov. 17 tirade became known, Richards apologized on David Letterman's "Late Show" on CBS, saying his remarks were sparked by anger at being heckled, not bigotry. He also apologized to the Rev. Al Sharpton and on the Rev. Jesse Jackson's syndicated radio program. Mel has a new movie, "Apocalypto," from The Walt Disney Co.'s Touchstone Pictures, opens Dec. 8. It is a Mayan-language epic filmed in Mexico chronicling the decline of the native civilization.


NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Country singer Buddy Jewell has pulled out of a tour to recover from a broken wrist. Jewell, the first winner of the "Nashville Star" singing competition, was hurt in a fall from a ladder while hanging Christmas lights at his Nashville home Nov. 19.

He underwent surgery last Wednesday to insert three screws and a two-inch metal plate on his left wrist.  Jewell decided against performing in a 20-city Great American Country Christmas Tour that runs from Thursday through Dec. 21.

Big Boy, the Power 106 talk show host has lost.  Lost pounds and inches.  He appeared on Maury and showed off his new look.  The talk host with the most, has less but not less to say.  He looked good and many were pulling here in radio for him.  He had a surgery to help the weight, he opted for Duodenal Switch Surgery, this operation was a new surgery and in which they took 3/4 of his stomach. He has been seen in Movies and on TV and is a superstar in his own right. John Leguizamo has a new book, "Pimps, Hos, Playa Hatas, and All the Rest of My Hollywood Friends: My Life (Hardcover)". A tell all book talking about Hollywood and life as his perspective.  His ad-libs have gotten the Columbian-Latino Actor in trouble and he just goes on and brushes egg off his shoulder and goes on again.  He will be signing books in NY This week.  A must read for Hispanic and Black Actors in the business. 

Jodie Watley just came out with her new/old songs and has been blazing with the Madonna made Borderline.  She has a interesting inside pages to read, some fun pictures.  She remade a lot of old songs from the 80's.  "Makeover" is blazing the shelves of the stores and it is not bad to hear the music there.  So check it out.

Sobbing with joy, Courtney Love  thanked a judge Monday after he terminated her probation and dismissed three misdemeanor cases, including two drug-related charges. "Thank you for not taking me into custody," Love told Superior Court Judge Rand Rubin. "Thank you for giving me an opportunity. You've been a good, fair judge. Sorry for crying." Love, 42, the former front-woman of rock band Hole and widow of Nirvana  singer Kurt Cobain, appeared in court dressed in a black striped suit and white blouse. She was accompanied by her manager, Peter Asher, and her lawyer, Howard Weitzman.

In September 2005, Love was sentenced to 180 days at a drug treatment facility for violating probation in the cases - one for illegal possession of painkillers, one for being under the influence of a controlled substance in public, and another for assault and battery. "Early on in this case, Ms. Love, I think you came very close to coming into custody," Rubin said. "I think you've done very well. You've shown to me you are interested in a much less destructive lifestyle."

NEW YORK, Dec. 19 -- The first 25-ton steel column for the new Freedom Tower was installed Tuesday at Ground Zero, another milestone in prolonged efforts to build a new office tower to replace the World Trade Center.  The 31-foot-high white steel column, painted with an American flag and the words "Freedom Tower," was picked up by a crane and set into place on the southern edge of the planned 1,776-foot building. Politicians and workers at the site cheered as the column was installed shortly after 11:30 a.m.

A Los Angeles judge has ordered a paternity test to determine the father of Anna Nicole Smith's 3-month-old daughter Dannielynn Hope.  A lawsuit filed by freelance photographer Larry Birkhead, who claims that he and not Smith's fiancé Howard K. Stern is the father of the infant.
