British supermodel Naomi Campbell has had a cyst removed at a hospital in Sao Paulo after flying to Brazil for treatment, her publicist has said. Ms Campbell, who is 37, a frequent visitor to Brazil who this month celebrated the carnival in Salvador, was treated at Sirio-Libanes Hospital. A gynaecologist at the hospital told a Brazilian news agency she had received successful emergency abdominal surgery. "I cannot reveal what Naomi had, nor how serious her condition was, but I can say I operated on her [on Monday] and she is completely cured," Dr Jose Aristodemo Pinotti told the Agencia Estado news service. She just so happens to be at one of the best hospitals in Brazil.

Resin Dogs, Australia’s undisputed kings of funk-drenched hip hop have been judged the best in world, according to a competition run by Malibu’s prestigious Document Room studios. In August last year, the studio’s owner/producer J.T. Meskiel, who has worked with everyone from Lauryn Hill to Britney Spears and Rick Rubin (6 time Grammy Award winning producer who’s worked with U2, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West) put the call out to find ‘the best hip hop track producers on the planet’. No small task! The band submitted a 7 track EP which included singles ‘Coming with the Sound’ and ‘Caught Up’ off their latest album ‘More’, and topped the talent list to score themselves an enviable three day production stint at the state-of-the-art, million dollar recording studios in March with Meskiel in the producer’s chair. The upcoming trip to the US is all part of an action-packed few months for the band who were recently announced as Semi-Finalists in the prestigious 2007 International Songwriting Competition (ISC) for the track ‘Fine Mess’ and have just signed a 3 year management deal in India. Aussie tour dates to be announced soon.

TNA Wrestling has hit NYC.  Thursday, the 21st it is at Webster hall in Manhattan. TNA might not have 3 hours, 7 minutes of wrestling per show but it is now 2 hours. Wrestler Curt Angle was at WB11 and was talking about the new brand.  TNA may be a new brand and has a couple of WWE grown wrestlers and 91% home grown within it's own brand.  WWE has been allowed to grow for so long (100 Years + years versus 2yrs TNA), unchallenged for so long it had to compete with itself.  But this new brand is tight, It does have some great talent that came over to it, seeing the chance to build a company from the ground and be able to do something different.  I give the guys and girls a lot of credit, it is a hard life and fun to watch.  It is Total Non-Stop Action, not just a moniker.  It does not have the Barbie looking girls all the time, it does have some big girls like Awesome Kong, she wrestled in Japan (Guys). She is 290lbs and can kick butt at a 6ft, 3inch frame.  She is not the hot babe, not much to look at in looks, but in talent she is gorgeous.  She can do the work.  I would love to see China (Sgt. Slaughters daughter) try to go for her.  That would be a match, but back to the TNA.  They have a new game coming out that should be different than the games out now, they even put sensors on the wrestlers to get all the signature moves down.  It should be something for the gamers to look out for.  Curt was excited, especially since he is a gamer, (not known). There has been a fan base that came over from WWE, some thinking at first that it would be another quiet installment of WWE. But it is a separate brand and since it is on a different night it fits right in to the wrestling circuit. WWE Raw is Monday on USA channel, WWE ECW wrestling on Sci-Fi Channel Tuesday, TNA brand on Spike channel Thursday, and WWE Friday Night Smack down on WB Channel.  With several Recap shows on Several Channels on TNA and WWE on different or same weekend nights.  I had to show this pic, it is Lindsay Lohan at the WWE Monday night Raw.  She came down to chill and watch with the kids of Canada's Sunshine Foundation (think Make-a-wish, but Canadian).

A new type controller will soon be unveiled. It controls the games through thoughts.  Yes, thoughts, it reads expressions and will be in the $300 range.  It is made by Emotiv Systems.  A neural headset, uses sensors, expressions to read and play and goes on sale later this year.

The site is called ashley Madison agency, run by Darren Morgenstern, and he makes no apology's for the site. Each is offering a new $99 Nationwide unlimited plan.  It started with Verizon Tuesday, followed 5 hours later by AT&T, and T-Mobile following suit soon after with a twist, T-Mobile threw in unlimited messaging for an extra $15. It is the war and it is on.  So get aboard one and all.  This the time to get that great deal while it lasts for the heavy cell phone user.  So if you are and can change, or upgrade to, save your money and switch now. Nothing scares me more that when an artist of talent like T.I. says he has recorded more than 50 songs for his upcoming disc, Paper Trail. Although he's still under house arrest as he awaits his trial on gun-possession charges, the rhyme-slinger is anxious to return to the rap game with some fresh beats and rhymes. "I feel it's definitely about time for somebody to come back out and kick this thing back in gear," he says. "I intend to do something about it. It's just a matter of when."  It scares me because, several that have, have passed in a quick future.  But there is some exceptions, like Prince and a couple others.  It is not a bad thing when artist horde albums and works away for later, but it has been a trend in the Hip Hop world, to be very careful.  But some who like T.I. might go to jail do, they record ahead to keep the gap from albums non-existent. And keeps fan base strong, as long as what is been recorded is hot.     Back to Top

Lindsay Lohan just attempted to channel the sex appeal of one of her "idols," Marilyn Monroe, in a photo shoot by Bert Stern, for New York Magazine. Rehab is a girl's best friend! La Lohan had no problem stripping and assuming the same poses Monroe did in her infamous "last sitting" for Stern -- 46 years ago. Clad in not much more than diamonds and sheer fabric, Lindsay did the naked shoot with her younger sister, Ali, looking on. Now isn't that special? Special Ed...  Ok did you watch Monday night wrestling?  Well, guess who came to WWE Monday Night Raw, it was LiLo, and she was posing with all the stars including John Cena, Rey Mysterio and others, not to mention the Candian version of Make a Wish foundation, The Sunshine Foundation and they were happy to meet her and take pics with her. It was at the Honda Center, and WWE was awesome..

Brit's paparazzo BF Adnan Ghalib was chatting it up today with California's Beverly Hills cops.. Adnan, he may have socked another pap who was shooting him at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Cops are being tight-lipped about exactly what went down, but we're hearing the photographer may have gotten a little too close to Ghalib, none were Britney Spears. But you can tell what may have gotten the pap miffed. What is more amazing still is the ability of the parental units of Brit Brit to keep him away.  She is getting better however and even though her British-Country accent, has kept appearing.  She is better for their custodial interference. 

Ok not to forget the other hanger on: LAPD investigation into Sam Lutfi allegedly drugging Britney Spears is well underway. Robbery Homicide, primarily because of the sensitive nature of the allegations and the intense media interest in Britney Spears. Sources say investigators have interviewed several witnesses regarding the drugs in Brit's system at the time she was most recently committed. The investigation had been temporarily derailed because of the death of an LAPD SWAT officer, but it's now back on track, concluding hopefully in March.  Back to Top

Ok now I got to say I been seeing some bar fights, and one that got me laughing but not in a good way was Jessie Metcalf. He and musclebound friend (wannabe British rapper Mams Taylor) of Taryn Manning got into it. The friend (Mams Taylor). obviously did not like something that Jessie said and then he was hitting poor Jessie and sending him back crumbling to the floor. Afterwards he went into the another club Since he swung at J at Blvd 3, it happened a couple more time, not getting knocked the floor, but the fighting did, but was broken up by bouncers each time after that. It all started down outside the Hot party launch at Boulevard 3 nightclub. Then finished at the Nicole Khristine Jewelry launch at Club Social nightclub, they need to get faster on the uptake outside though at Blvd 3.  Here it is ... TMZ has obtained the 911 calls made from Ving Rhames' home on the day a caretaker died after an encounter with the actor's large dogs last August. The dogs, three large Mastiffs and an English Bulldog, were initially suspected of mauling 40-year-old Jacob Adams, a long time employee of Rhames. It was then determined that Adams had been suffering from a "pre-existing heart problem" when he was attacked. The L.A. County Coroner determined that "the dogs didn't kill Mr. Adams. He died because of a pre-existing heart problem. The dog bites found on him were determined to be non-fatal."

Facebook will launch in Spanish, in a move to keep up with their rivals.  They launch in Feb, on Monday 11th.  Rival MySpace already has a Spanish site, Facebook had for now allowed customers to post in Spanish but with the new site dedicated to Spanish speaking people on the way it breaks new ground.  About time too, have to keep up or move out the way. But in the war to keep consumers happy, it is a great move on Facebook's part.  French and German editions by the Spring.     Back to Top

Miss Lindsay Lohan has been working for the Red Cross and visited a morgue as part of the punishment for her drunk driving. She was reportedly saying, When I look back on this last year, it's like, what was I thinking," And she blames some of her problems, her DUI, the rehab, the car crashes, etc., on her estrangement from dad Michael. "Not seeing my father was really hard for me... I was going, going, going, and that ran me down.... I didn't have a father to call, and that was a lot of the pain."  Ain't it grand, she blames her father, instead of herself, but I do agree, everyone needs their father in their life. But blaming him for what you could not have, oh well, it is just... put in your own words ok...

Star Jones's post-View television effort, The Star Jones Show, is going off the air by "mutual agreement" between her and TruTV, the network announced Thursday. The live, 3 p.m. talk show, airing since September on the former Court TV, had been aimed at bridging the worlds of law and entertainment. Jones is a former Brooklyn prosecutor who got her big break on TV as a commentator during the O.J. Simpson trial. "Due to the rebranding and programming refocus of the network, TruTV and Star Jones Reynolds have mutually agreed to cease production of The Star Jones Show," the network said. "Star will continue as a contributing legal expert on our weekday IN SESSION trial coverage, it finishes on Friday the 8th.  Back to Top

Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. U.S. Attorney Robert E. O'Neill got the jury in the Wesley Snipes trial laughing on Tuesday – no small feat in a tax-evasion trial – bringing up Steve Martin and his King Tut routine. From that he launched into the comedian's "How to Make a Million Dollars and Not Pay Taxes." First you make a million dollars and when the IRS asks why you didn't pay taxes, you simply say, "I forgot," O'Neill told the jury in closing arguments. The jury, which will begin deliberations Wednesday morning, laughed. But after the jury was dismissed for the day, Snipes was not laughing and admitted he was scared. "Of course you would be nervous," he says. "You're on trial. Anybody would have a certain amount of anxiety about that. But I have a great deal of faith in the Most High and the Good Lord and the truth shall set you free. So, I'm looking forward to being free, going back to what I do best." His wife, 10-month-old son and mother were in the courtroom to lend moral support.

Update:  Well in a split decision which made the actor able to breathe again, he was acquitted of Fraud and Conspiracy charges but zapped him with the lesser charges of failing to file a tax return. This was a better outcome than most had thought. With the Florida juries, and more so the judges very.... I guess we can say, bigoted or very non forgiving of people of color coming into court. Most being given years more than their white counter parts. he was looking at a 16 year sentence but now can get up to 3 years in this federal court.  His Birthday is July 31st Making him 45.   back to top

Montel Williams is calling it a wrap after 17 years in daytime. Fate of "The Montel Williams Show" was sealed when key Fox-owned stations opted not to renew it for the 2008-09 season. But a number of other stations had cleared the show for next season, prompting CBS to offer the "Best of" package. The rerun package is sold on an all-cash basis, which is a boon to stations that had been handing over 3½ minutes of barter ad time per seg to CBS for the firstrun episodes. "Stations continue to embrace Montel and the message of social responsibility that has been the cornerstone of his show," said CBS TV Distribution.

What is up with Lil Wayne, this kid is banana's. He got money, got talent, got fame but is trying to live up to the tat's on his face for some reason. He must think he is in jail for real, because he is on his way there or back or whatever: He was taken in by Drug enforcement agents in Arizona. Lil' Wayne has been hit with some big time charges, possession of cocaine, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, was arrested with two others who have been charged with possession of marijuana. Cops say they found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills on his tour bus, after they stopped at a Border Patrol checkpoint. Police also found $22,000 in cash and a 40-caliber pistol, but Wayne, we're told, does have a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Florida. They tell us they're checking to see if that carries over to Arizona. The judge set his bond at $10,000. Back to Top

Britney has done it again, she was rushed to the hospital in the night.  This is the second time in almost a month that she has been rushed to a hospital in some sort of mental breakdown. This time going to Cornell Hospital, this may have been a suicide attempt.  She has been under some tremendous stress lately. Click for last time Britney will not be able leave till the 72 hour hold is lifted, her doctor was trying to have her held for 2 weeks.  L.A. County Superior Court judge has just signed a "5150," meaning Britney Spears is on a three-day psychiatric hold at the UCLA Medical Center. With the "good possibility" that it will be extended to 14 days. We've also learned there have been several parallel attempts to get Britney on a 5150. Her lawyers, Anne Kiley and Tara Scott, secured a new psychiatrist late last week, he's the one who triggered the 5150 last night.

Update: She was released on Wed, night to the dismay of her family, but her father moved in with her and her father has been named executor  of her estate.  She was trying to fight that in court with her lawyers but it did not work.   She has been estranged a little with her father, but it would be great for her, since he cares and wants her better. Dads always bump heads with their daughters, them no exception. On Feb. 3rd, Britney called her dad 4 times.  Jamie Spears it seemed, had to cook for a large Super Bowl party.  He excused himself telling Brit that he was working, cooking for work.  Brit was upset that he had to work, and gave him the cold shower when he came.  It took a nurse to convince her that he had not been the one to put her there in the hospital.  That it was the hospital that was keeping her there. Now, Also on Friday, Feb 1st, Sam Lutfi has been ordered to stay 250 yards away from Britney, UCLA Medical Center, her parents homes, siblings homes, childrens homes and Britney's homes. According to the order, he cut Brits phone line and removed her cell phone chargers. He has been accused of being a control freak, yelling at brit and tries to control everything she does. According to a declaration filed by Lynne Spears, on January 28th, parents Lynne and Jamie arrived for an intervention, "Sam had told Britney that she was an unfit mother, a piece of trash and a whore, that she cares more about Adnan, her current boyfriend, than she cares about her kids, and that she does not deserve the kids." The documents claim Sam said, "Adnan is gay... Britney came into the room looking for Adnan... Britney then asked me, 'Is Adnan gay?" At one point, Britney "picked up a bottle of pills and read part of the label and asked us, 'What does insomnia mean?' Sam told her that the pills will help her stay awake." Lynne continues, "Sam told Jackie and me that he grinds up Britney's pills, which were on the counter and included Risperdal (an anti-psychotic drug for schizophrenia and bipolarity) and Seroquel." The docs continue, "He told us that the doctor who is treating her now is trying to get her into a sleep-induced coma so that they could then give her drugs to heal her brain."  It seems now that Sam Lufti her manager, had gotten control of her finances much to the dismay of her parents, who are fighting the decision from Monday. They are alleging that he has mismanaged and taken advantage of Brit, besides he has been accused of stealing property. he said he was just trying to get it back, because it was stolen from the house. Attorney Jeryll Cohen, who represents her father Jamie Spears, submitted a declaration to the conservatorship commissioner, claiming Brit's divorce lawyers got it all wrong when they assumed Jamie was a control freak. They had accused Mr. Spears of attempting 'nothing more than a hostile takeover of our client for improper purposes. But Jerry Cohen says Jamie was looking "for the least ugly way to save this young woman's life, bring her back to her babies, and keep her safe from predators." Jamie Spears, had submitted a declaration in support of the conservatorship, stating that they didn't tell Britney about the conservatorship because given her "emotional and psychological condition and her dealings with Mr. Lutfi, I believe Britney is incapable of keeping information from Mr. Lutfi. In particular, I believe if she knew I was planning to seek a conservatorship, she would tell Mr. Lufti about the planned conservatorship." Family and lawyers both accuse Lufti of trying to control Britney, having some kind of svwengalli type of control over her, and her not being able to tell him no. Jamie Spears will be back in court, I am guessin' Friday maybe, asking the Commissioner to put some teeth in the conservatorship order. That order gives the conservator power to restrict the visitors Brit receives. No doubt Mom and Dad both were frustrated that Brit let a paparazzo ride with her in her car today. And we're hearing they were none too happy about the people she saw at the Beverly Hills Hotel. It wouldn't be at all unusual for the conservator to ask for an order requiring the cops to enforce the instructions Jamie lays down. In other words, he could call the Bev Hills Police and ask them to remove the pap from the car. Not to mention, the conservatorship gives Jamie the right to approve contracts. It's a good bet he would not have approved Britney buying stuff or getting a room at the hotel. Think about the cops going to the hotel and telling the manager they can't let Brit buy stuff or get rooms without Jamie's consent and if they defied Jamie they could be held in contempt. In other news, Brit's parents are just trying to stop the kaos that is Britney.  Not out a hot minute and she had a convoy of 20 cars filled with paps chasing her. K-Fed will be happily shopping meanwhile in NYC, attending the Marc Jacobs show. Back to the story or related to above news: Sam Lutfi, the man who is legally required to stay away from Britney Spears period is counterattacking, with the help of Michael Sands, the former media consultant for K-Daddy's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan. Sands, who knows a thing or two about crisis management, has been brought on board by Lutfi to, as Lutfi put it to us, "set the record straight" about who he is.. Who he is not, not in charge of Britney no more, if her parents or the courts, have anything to say about it.. 

Well, it looks like Jamie (Brits Dad), got the go ahead, he and his lawyer are co-conservators of the pop star.         Back to Top
