In celebration of Black History Month,
Master
P and his son Romeo have released a
music video titled
"Black History." The father-and-son rap team hopes to expand
the
video into a new venture of books and educational cartoons that chronicle
the black experience. "My goal is to make this video part of the
elementary and high school curriculum," says P, "and also to make this
song the anthem for Black History Month."
Harold "Eban" Brown made a name for himself singing with the
Delfonics, but these days he's raving about his relatively recent arrival
to the Stylistics fold. "I never anticipated joining them in a million
years," says Brown. "That move just elevated me spiritually and mentally.
Ever since then, everything has been wonderful." Meanwhile, the Stylistics
have a new album titled That Same Way; no release date has been set,
however.
John Legend, Scarlett Johansson, Common,
Nicole Scherzinger, Hill Harper and other celebrities are featured in an
inspiring video that was produced by Black Eyed Peas mastermind Will.i.am.
In the clip, presidential hopeful Barack Obama's "Yes, We Can Change"
speech in South Carolina is transformed into an optimistic anthem. "I hope
this song will make you feel love and think and be inspired," writes Will

Snoop Dogg apparently is still banned in
the
United Kingdom because of his April 2006 brawl in London's Heathrow
Airport. According to reports, when European mobile company Orange tried
to obtain a British visa for the rapper, officials denied the request.
Meanwhile, Snoop will appear on CNN's Larry King Live on Friday to talk
about his Snoop Bowl VI football event in Chandler, Ariz., on Saturday
Ruben Studdard has filed a $45,000 lawsuit against marketing company
Peachez, Inc., for
breach of contract. Both parties had no comment on the matter. Meanwhile,
Ruben has lost roughly 100 pounds to prepare for his role in the 2008-09
national tour of Ain't Misbehavin'. "I'm really just trying to build up my
endurance because we're doing about eight shows a week," says Ruben.
Britney has done it again, she was rushed to the
hospital in the night. This is the second time in almost a month that she
has been rushed to a hospital in some sort of mental breakdown. This time
going to Cornell Hospital, this may have been a suicide attempt.
She has been
under some tremendous stress lately. Click for last time Britney will
not be able leave till the 72 hour hold is lifted, her doctor was trying
to have her held for 2 weeks. Update: She is being kept 2 more
weeks. She is in a padded room for her safety and her father is
being named executor of her estate. She is trying to fight
that in court with her lawyers but it might not work. She has been
estranged a little with her father, but it would be great for her, since
he cares and wants her better. Dads always bump heads with their
daughters, them no exception.
Contrary to online reports, Def Jam hasn't released everyone from
its Roc-A-Fella roster, which includes Beanie Sigel, Freeway and others.
"Beans and Freeway didn't get dropped," insists Beanie's manager, Mark
Byers. However, Peedi Peedi has confirmed that he's no longer with the
Roc, and is a free agent. "He's a real disrespectful dude," says Peedi of
former Def Jam president Jay-Z.
Kanye West has strengthened his upcoming Glow in the Dark tour
lineup with
opening acts Rihanna, N.E.R.D and Lupe Fiasco, according to his blog. No

Foxy Brown's request to travel to Los Angeles for medical reasons
was rejected Tuesday
by a New York judge. The incarcerated rapper argued that her hearing
impairment has worsened in jail and that she needed her cochlear implant
calibrated and repaired. But State Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson
Brown denied Foxy's plea, stating that she could receive adequate medical
treatment in New York.

Beyoncé will portray legendary soul singer Etta James in Cadillac
Records, according to co-star Cedric the Entertainer. The film, also
featuring Adrien Brody as Leonard Chess and Jeffrey Wright as Muddy
Waters, follows the rise of Chicago blues label Chess Records and the
lives of the artists signed to the label. Entourage star Emmanuelle
Chriqui and Stomp the Yard actor Columbus Short also star.
Ms. Diana Ross pissed
off
a crowd of 40,000 at the 2008 Air Jamaica Jazz & Blues Festival on
Saturday, where Miss Ross, who is 63, was booed and heckled by Jamaicans
attending the Jazz festival in Montego Bay, after organizers told them
that "to honor Miss Ross' wishes, she will not be shown on the monitors."
That news was greeted with widespread hissing. Meanwhile: Diana Ross
will close out the 2008 Plymouth Jazz Festival on the Caribbean island of
Tobago on April 27. Also headlining the three-day event, which runs April
25-27, are Smokey Robinson, Jill Scott and Peabo Bryson.
Remember the New Kids on the Block, well,
guess who is coming back. Yes, they are and with the crew 20 years
later. They range in age from 35 to 40 years old now, with Only
Donnie Wahlberg (38) having any big success. Although Johnathan
Knight (40) is a real estate broker, Joey McIntyre (35) appeared on the
Dancing with the stars. Although they are hitting middle age, it will be
nice to see what they will be coming to the mat with. So look out
for their new hit in the future. And just to add, they should be called
Men on the Block...lol.
Rapper extraordinaire Ludacris is being sued by Philadelphia-based
production company Boogiii Men Entertainment
for alleged copyright infringement. Producers Damon Mayfield, Anthony
Turner and Markus Vick allege in their suit that the Atlanta Singer
hijacked a song from one of their beat CDs and used it on his 2005 hit
"Get Back" (from The Red Light District LP). Reps for Luda had no comment
on the matter.
Ok, because I have not done a Paris story in a bit, and emails
asking about her keep coming in.. Paris was seen singing alright,
singing Karaoke and badly, but hey it could
have been worse, no, ok not really.. Ok of course, it could have
been done more low key, but she is coming out in a movie soon (Feb 8th),

Ludacris is returning to host Alonzo
Mourning
and Earvin "Magic" Johnson's pool tournament, Boost Mobile Zo & Magic's
8-Ball Challenge. The charity event is being held in New Orleans on Feb.
14 during NBA All-Star Weekend. Proceeds will benefit a local school in
the Big Easy. "It's important to be in this city and support the
rebuilding of this community," says Magic.
Singers Akon and Alicia Keys will receive the International Friends
of Reggae honor at the Excellence in Music and Entertainment Awards. The
two R&B superstars are being
recognized for their continuous support of reggae music. The event will
take place in Jamaica on Feb. 7. Meanwhile, Akon reportedly will star in
an independent martial arts flick titled Slums 13.

The real Queen Aretha Franklin will be honored with the
Vanguard
trophy at the NAACP's 39th annual Image Awards next month. The Queen of
Soul is being saluted for increasing "awareness and understanding of
racial and social issues" through her music. Fox will televise the Image
Awards live from Los Angeles on Feb. 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
Now it is Brit's friends turn at the
table. Mark Vincent Kaplan (K-Fed's Lawyer), was all over Sam lutfi, like
white on rice during his depo on Thursday (24th). Kaplan grilled Mark
about Brit's medicine intake, what she does at home, what she drinks and
when, so on.. Besides asking about his relationship with X17 Photo agency
and if he and Brit get money for pics he takes of her. He denied
there was any deal to do that at all. At first Lutfi tried to block the
depo, & even tried running from Aaron Cohen, who served him with the depo
subpoena.
George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic
are
ready to heat up the cold winter nights with their unbridled funk. George
and his merry P-Funkateers are embarking on a U.S. tour of small theaters
next month. The 15-city trek blasts off Feb. 8 in Redway, Calif., and
winds down Feb. 28 in Charlotte, N.C.

Game in Atlanta on Sunday. The singer is slated to sing "Because of You"
during the game's second intermission with support from the Halftime Live
marching band. He will also perform after Saturday's Dodge/NHL Super

Scotland Yard now started an investigation
Wednesday
into a video that allegedly shows troubled British singer Amy Winehouse
smoking crack. The British tabloid, The Sun, just released grainy footage
showing Grammy-nominated Winehouse, 24, inhaling fumes from a pipe. The
video was reportedly shot hours before she attended a court hearing for
her jailed husband. Police will look at the video before deciding whether
any charges should be brought against Winehouse. Update: Amy checked into
Rehab on the 24th, voluntarily in fact. Her label says Winehouse needs " a
specialists treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction
and prepare for her planned appearance at the Grammy Awards." Amy met with
her record label, management, family and doctors today to discuss her
treatment options.
Rihanna, Mary J. Blige and Aretha Franklin
have joined Beyoncé on the lineup of performers at the upcoming Grammy
Awards. Ri-Ri will sing with reunited group the Time, while Mary and
Aretha will perform in a gospel segment also featuring the Clark Sisters,
Trin-I-Tee 5:7 and others. CBS will broadcast the
Grammys live from Los Angeles on Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
Busta Rhymes pleaded guilty Wednesday
to
assault and two driving infractions during a hearing in New York to avoid
a yearlong prison sentence suggested by prosecutors. A New York judge hit
the rapper with three years' probation, 10 days of community service,
$1,250 in fines and an anti-drunken driving course. "I'm just glad that
all this stuff is finally behind me," said Bussa-Buss outside of the
courtroom.
Douglas "Biggs" Ellison is suing Def Jam for $20 million, claiming
that the label
tried to get Chrisette Michele out of
her contract with his production company, Four Kings Productions Inc.
Douglas also named Chrisette's parents in the suit, accusing them of
conspiring with Def Jam and preventing his company from receiving
royalties from the songbird's debut album, I Am.
Beyoncé and legendary singer Tina Turner
are
set for a diva-licious duet at the 50th annual Grammy Awards, which CBS
will air live from Los Angeles on Feb. 10. No other details have yet
surfaced on the "surprise" number. In other Grammy news, the striking
members of the Writers Guild of America have agreed not to picket the
show. Finally, look for Beyoncé and Jay-Z as one of Ebony's Hottest
Couples in the
February issue.
Although she is still having problems with
the Judge, Lil' Kim reportedly has ended her
longstanding partnership with Atlantic Records after four successful
albums. The rapper says she holds no animosity toward the label and looks
forward to recording music independently. Reports have surfaced that Kim
is in talks to sign with indie label Imperial Records. Reps for Kim and
Imperial had no comment on the matter.
Although we do not hear much about him,
Usher's
father, Usher Raymond III, passed away Friday at an Atlanta hospital. He
was 52. The cause of death was not immediately known. UsherRaymond, his
wife, Tameka, and his mother, Jonetta, reportedly were at the elder
Usher's side when he died. The Memorial services for the crooner's dad
will be held at the Taylor Funeral Home in Chattanooga, Tenn., on
Wednesday.
Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds wants to share his Play list with his
fans again. The
singer-guitarist is embarking on a new 13-city North American tour in
support of his first covers album. The trek kicks off on Feb. 15th, in
Minneapolis and wraps up March 5th, in Long Beach, Calif. The play list
features Babyface's reworking of some of his favorite pop songs, including

Actor Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead in
bed in his Manhattan apartment with sleeping pills by his side, police
said. He may have overdosed, he leaves behind a 2 year old child

films 'Brokeback Mountain', 'First Night', Joker in 'Batman Begins' and a
host of many others, he will be missed on film and life.. His housekeeper
& massage therapist with whom he had a appointment with found the
Australian actor naked on the bed. The cleaning lady called police. The
masseuse, we're told, called the bodyguard for the Olsens. She called him
because they're friends and he's an EMT. The bodyguard was around the
block at Ashley's and he immediately went over. By the time he arrived,
the cops were already there.
Amy Winehouse is needing something alright,
a rehab according to her friends and press. At a party that she had
at her home she was seen doing drugs. She was seen snorting ecstasy, crack
and other drugs at the party, and has been going overboard lately and her
friends are scared for her. Good luck girl..

Michelle Williams is among a bevy of

who are helping to boost tourism in Illinois. The Rockford, Ill., native
is featured in the "My Illinois" ad campaign sharing her own personal
experiences in her beloved state. Michelle joins famous Illinois natives

Both Penelope Cruz and Salma Hayek lost
precious
personal photos during vacations abroad over the holidays. Hayek, who's a
new mom, got her laptop stolen, and Cruz's camera was lost or stolen,
according to letters sent out by Hollywood legal giant Marty Singer,
warning media outlets not to run the images should they hit the market.
Nate Dogg is paralyzed on the left side of his body after suffering
a mild stroke over the holidays, according
to his manager, Rod McGrew. The rap crooner didn't experience any brain
damage or loss of vocal abilities, and could make a full recovery. "The
prognosis is good right now," says Rod, who also slammed the media for
their coverage of the taped 911 call.
Ludacris is teaming with chef Chris Yeo to open a new restaurant in
Atlanta called Straits in April. The
eatery will offer exotic Asian cuisine in a modern setting. The

at The Moscone Center in San Francisco and was great for Apple.
Flo Rida, T-Pain, Missy Elliott and Plies are among the artists
featured on the Step Up 2: The

Van Hunt has confirmed on his blog that he has left Blue Note
Records. His third disc, Popular, which was supposed to be released on
Jan. 15, has been shelved for now. "Blue Note and I are not seeing each
other anymore," writes Van. "But, this year you will see, at least, one
album and a book of short stories from me."
Britney Spears had been "strongly advised"
by her legal team to attend a
custody hearing Monday (14th), a reliable
source told PEOPLE magazine. The hearing is expected to focus on the
four-hour standoff at her Studio City home on Jan. 3. Police, firefighters
and paramedics will testify in a Los Angeles courtroom as to what occurred
that night, which ended with Spears's forced hospitalization. Spears, 26,
and ex-husband Kevin Federline, 29, are not required to show, but,
"Britney needs to be there because it's much easier to defend your client
if he/she is present to refute what witnesses say."

probe on steroids trafficking. According to confidential sources, those
celebrities and thousands of others may have recently used or received
prescribed steroids and human growth hormone injections. However, law
officials say that the evidence doesn't indicate that they broke any laws.
Mary, meanwhile, has denied using any performance-enhancing steroids.
Berry Gordy Jr. will be honored at the Recording Academy's annual
Grammy Salute to Industry Icons event Feb. 10 in Los Angeles. The Motown
Records founder will receive the President's Merit Award in recognition of
his contributions to the music business. "Berry Gordy embodies that rare
combination of creative genius, entrepreneurial excellence and fearless
proponent of social change," said Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow.
A New York judge said rapper Prodigy can begin his prison sentence
for gun possession
a little later than planned so he can first deal with health issues. The
recording artist, whose real name is Albert Johnson, has been granted an
extra month of freedom before he begins his 3 1/2-year prison term, The
New York Post reported Wednesday. Johnson, who suffers from sickle cell
anemia, asked to postpone the start date of his prison sentence so he
could arrange for prescriptions and medical treatment.

she is having her baby there. Her Father Lionel is by her side. And

Snoop Dogg has several projects lined up for the new year,

food-store chain that would be called "Snoopermarkets." But for his tour
supporting his upcoming album, Ego Trippin', Snoop Dogg hopes to bring

collection. "I wanna bring it real big," says Snoop. "He's got so many

Soulja Boy's "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" this week became the first
song to surpass 3
million digital downloads. "I can't thank my fans enough, without them all
of this wouldn't have been possible," he says. Meanwhile, rap group the
Ohio Boyz are accusing Soulja Boy of plagiarizing a song called "Swagg"

DUI a major disappointment, and adds something she never intends to do
again. Barton was busted in December on suspicion of DUI, possession of

Lindsay Lohan is being sued by the woman
she allegedly chased in July while driving under the influence, and now
Tracie Rice is seeking more money from the actress. According to TMZ.com,
Rice has filed legal papers that allege she has already spent $3,500 in
therapist bills and other medical related expenses. She also claims she
lost her job because of the car chase.
Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp and Katherine Heigl came away with
People's Choice Awards on Tuesday in a pre-taped program hosted by Queen Latifah. JT nabbed three trophies, while Jack Sparrow earned the Favorite
Male Movie Star prize and the "Grey's Anatomy" actress landed the Favorite
Female TV Star honor. What is sad is that it was the lowest ever, 5.3
million fewer viewers tuned in this year than last. So what is the future
of the show?
Radiohead will tour North America in the future, we just don't know
when. All we do know is where. The band's publicist released a list of the
cities Radiohead will hit on their tour, but they've yet to issue the
stretch's dates or any venue information. The trek will make stops in
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Seattle,
Philadelphia and San Francisco, among other cities.
Justin Timberlake nabbed two honors at
Tuesday's
People's Choice Awards. JT won Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Pop Song
for "What Goes Around . . . Comes Around." Other winners included Rihanna

there... Winehouse has denied in past to having bipolar disorder, but has
admitted to having problems with eating disorders, depression and

Hip Hop artist The Game is currently facing
trial on weapons
charges. His lawyer claims the LAPD confiscated $44,000 of The Game's
money during the criminal investigation and has wrongfully refused to
release it. The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Taylor, was in court
today and was told he will face the music on Feb. 4, that's when his trial
begins. The judge also set a hearing for Jan. 22, when he'll decide if the
LAPD should be held in contempt of court for withholding the $44 grand. I
know it should but hey... not my money, good luck kid...
This week's broadcast of "Tavis Smiley" marks the 5th anniversary of
the PBS late-night talk
show, and features congratulatory messages from the host's friends,
colleagues, and former guests on the show. The celebrities wishing him a
happy anniversary include Alan Alda, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jamie
Foxx, Joni Mitchell, James Taylor and Laura Linney. Their filmed messages
will air each night on the show through the rest of the month, including
one from actor Will Smith who assures Smiley that Smith considers him
"just as intelligent and sexy and handsome as you've always been." This
season will also feature a special week of broadcasts in early April from
Memphis, Tenn., in recognition of the 40th anniversary of the
assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.
The hot new singer Raheem DeVaughn made a
surprise appearance at the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C., on Friday (11th)
to help pay homage to Prince at the venue's music event 21/20: A
Masterpiece Tribute to Parade and Sign O' the Times. According to one
critic, Raheem dazzled the crowd with his rendition of the Purple One's
classic ballad "Adore" and performed a funky reworking of "Kiss."
Destiny's Child Michelle Williams' new song "Stop This Car" was
leaked onto the
Internet last month, much to her chagrin. But now the Destiny's Child
songtress is thrilled by the positive responses to the track. "I am just
so moved to tears by the words of encouragement," writes Michelle on her
blog. "To you guys, I thank you!" Michelle is now considering releasing
the song as the first single off her as-yet-untitled second album. Check

Snoop Dogg is starting a rivalry between

Diddy Combs. He said that he has a better vocal range than Diddy and

The news mess Philly's Alycia Lane, who was arrested in New York in
December after allegedly slapping a female cop and calling her a "f***ing
d*ke" in a traffic spat, got the chop from CBS 3 this Monday afternoon
(7th), reports the station. In a statement, CBS 3 President and GM Michael
Colleran said, "We have concluded that it would be impossible for Alycia
to continue to report the news as she, herself, has become the focus of so
many news stories." Lane gained notoriety last year for sending pics of
herself to her NFL Network anchor Rich Eisen, except his wife found them
in e-mail and wrote her a scathing but rich tirade response.

As actors threaten to boycott the show because of the strike, the
Golden Globes is being reduced to a glorified news conference. It is
going to a run to see what happens, because most actors are writers, or
want to be, so they have a lot to be in support of. The Golden
Globes might be cancelled because of the strike.
A judge presiding over the legal battle of
James
Brown's estate is refusing to resign amid requests by two former trustees
that he do so. The late singer's ex-advisers, Buddy Dallas and Alford
Bradley, have accused Judge Jack Early of pressuring them to step down
from the case. "I would never force anyone to do anything, that's not me,"
contends Judge Early. Update is:
A number of James Brown's personal belongings will be appraised and
auctioned off in order to pay taxes owed by the late Godfather of Soul's
estate, court-appointed trustees said Wednesday. It is unclear what items
will be up for bids, but the trustees have asked for James' adult children
to submit a list of valuables that they don't want auctioned.
Atlanta Hip Hop Artist T.I. will become a
dad for the fifth time as
his girlfriend, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, is expecting a baby boy. This will
be the couple's second child together; they are already parents of a
3-year-old son named King Harris. Tameka recently announced the news on

MySpace page, which has gathered numerous congratulatory responses
from acquaintances and fans.
Dr. Dre recently unveiled his signature line of high-performance
headphones called Beats by Dr. Dre, which will be available this spring.
The headset will offer audiophiles the unique listening pleasure of
state-of-the-art technology and design. "I spend a lot of time in the
studio listening to my music through headphones," said Dre. "With Beats,
people are finally going to hear it the way they should, the way I do."
Birdman (aka Bryan Williams) and his label, Cash Money Records, have
been
hit with a copyright-infringement lawsuit that claims the rhyme-slinger
and artists on the label owe several music publishing companies an
unspecified amount of money for using copyrighted works in their songs
without permission. Birdman's publicist, Kia Selby, said on Friday she has
yet to see the legal filing.
Chaka Khan will make her Broadway debut in The Color Purple on Jan.
9 playing Sofia, a defiant woman who rejects the ongoing racism in the
Deep South. "She's . . . the first non-slave black woman who wasn't a
slave to anybody," says Chaka. "I had a lot of help from my ancestors with
this role. I saw such a kinship with the character."
Chris Brown is being sued by John Troxel, the
designer of his tour's set. John claims that the singer neglected to pay
him for some of the work completed on the multimedia set, and although a
verbal agreement was reached between them, Chris' touring company has
refused to pay him in full. The designer is asking for damages that total
around $1 million.

Blues musician Syl Johnson has filed a
copyright-infringement lawsuit against Michael Jackson, Will Smith, the
estate of Tupac Shakur and others for the alleged unauthorized use of his
1967 song "Different Strokes." According to the suit, samples of Syl's
tune were used in Jacko's "Blood on the Dance Floor," DJ Jazzy Jeff & the
Fresh Prince's "Who Stole the D.J." and 2Pac's "Peep Game" without his
permission. He is seeking unspecified damages.
A federal appeals court has upheld a 2006 trial court ruling
dismissing a songwriter's copyright-infringement lawsuit against Beyoncé
and others. The plaintiff, Jennifer Amour, had claimed that Bey-Bey and
her songwriting team had stolen her music and lyrics for the Grammy
Award-winning song "Baby Boy" (featuring Sean Paul).
After 14 years with hard-rock band, he
cites 'personal reasons,' physical duress in statement issued Wednesday.
In a joint statement issued by Newsted and Metallica on Wednesday (January
17), the bassist hinted that the physical duress and rigors of the band's
touring schedule over the past few years may have played a hand in his
decision to walk away from the group. So he just walks away..

Five of James Brown's children have filed court documents to have
their late father's will annulled. The siblings have accused James' former
advisers Buddy Dallas, Alford Bradley and David Cannon of manipulating the
singer into leaving most of his estate to charitable trusts that would be
used to educate his grandchildren, but partially benefit the advisers
themselves. "No one told James what to do," says Buddy in defense of the
will.

R. Kelly has been slapped with a lawsuit
by a concert promoter for allegedly abandoning
a Minneapolis gig. According to the suit, Royalty Records paid the crooner
a $120,000 fee for a Dec. 6 show that subsequently was rescheduled for
Dec. 20. But Kelly had to cancel the rescheduled gig because he had a
court appearance in Chicago. Royalty is suing R. for his $120,000 concert
fee plus unspecified damages.

four stories from the roof down are toast. The fire may have started in

Marlon Brando's oldest son, Christian Brando, died early this
morning at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles, David
Seeley, a lawyer for Marlon Brando's estate confirmed to the AP. He was
49. Brando had been in the ICU since January 11 for pneumonia, the family
had no funeral plans as of yet. Well, some might remember him from not to
long ago. Brando went to prison for voluntary manslaughter in the death of
his half-sister's boyfriend, Dag Drollet.

Jill Scott is dropping a concert set titled Jill Scott: Live in
Paris + in both

gig in Los Angeles. The collection coincides with Jill's Real Thing Tour,

tossed in the can for two days in upstate New York, for missing a drug
counseling session, of all things. & Bouncing around the cell! Trey spent

April. He was popped during a traffic stop in December 2006 for having
painkillers without a prescription.

irreconcilable differences with Adnan Ghalib for the split after four
years of marriage, according to documents filed Friday in Superior Court.
Berry, although she is representing herself in court papers, she seeks
spousal support, and for Ghalib to pay her legal fees, the filing said.
Lil Wayne and two unidentified members
of
his crew were arrested on Tuesday in Yuma, Ariz., by DEA agents on various
drug-possession charges. Authorities stopped the rapper's tour bus and
after searching the vehicle found numerous drugs including marijuana,
cocaine and ecstasy. Wayne was charged with suspicion of possession of
dangerous drugs, possession of narcotics and possession of drug
paraphernalia. He remains in custody pending bail.

on the Billboard 200 with only 61,000 copies sold. It is the hot album's
second consecutive week at the top and third overall. Meanwhile, despite

Film Festival that he is developing a yet-to-be-named film-production

of some of the projects I commit to and I can choose things to develop,"

Ratpack fame Sammy Davis Jr.'s widow, Altovise Davis, is suing two
former business associates over the rights to her late husband's legacy
and biopic. In her lawsuit, Altovise accuses Barrett LaRoda and Anthony
Francis of Sammy Davis Jr. Enterprises Inc. of hiding financial records
from her and hindering negotiations to have a biopic made about Sammy. She
is seeking an undisclosed amount of punitive and monetary damages.
John Legend apparently is getting some flak for his choices for

degree. Rock, who is also member of New York's famed Boot Camp Clik, was
arrested for attempted murder on Tuesday (Jan. 15) and has been in custody
since. The Brooklyn District Attorney's office claims that the rapper (nee
Jamal Bush) shot a known pimp and bloods gang
member,
Terrell Ellis, in the neck paralyzing him. The DA's office also claims
that Rock is a pimp and the incident stemmed from a dispute over an
alleged prostitute. the case will likely go to trial in six to nine
months.

The Ginuwine has filed another breach-of-contract lawsuit against
the King Music Group,
alleging that the company has not complied with an settlement agreement
made in October. The singer accuses the record company of misrepresenting
itself and failing to compensate him to record music for a new album.
Ginuwine also alleges that the breach has caused damages to his career and
has kept him from pursuing professional opportunities in the process.
