What is up with Lil Wayne,
this kid is banana's. He got
money, got talent, got fame but is trying to live up to the tat's on his
face for some reason. He must think he is in jail for real, because he is on
his way there or back or whatever: He was taken in by Drug enforcement
agents in Arizona. Lil' Wayne has been hit with some big time charges,
possession of cocaine, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug
paraphernalia. Wayne, real name Dwayne Carter, was arrested with two others
who have been charged with possession of marijuana. Cops say they found 105
grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills on his
tour bus, after they stopped at a Border Patrol checkpoint. Police also
found $22,000 in cash and a 40-caliber pistol, but Wayne, we're told, does
have a permit to carry a concealed weapon in the state of Florida. They tell
us they're checking to see if that carries over to Arizona. The judge set
his bond at $10,000.
Now this is late, but funny to some. Compton is
Seeking to further curb criminal
activities, Comptonhas
asked a judge to ban individuals identified as members of the Mob Piru
street gang, including rap mogul Marion "Suge" Knight, from congregating in
a northeast neighborhood. Using a strategy employed by other crime-ridden
communities, the court order would be the first gang injunction in a city
with a long history of battling street gangs. Authorities contend that the
Mob Piru gang has terrorized the neighborhood for years, with buying and
selling of drugs, discharging firearms, robbing and assaulting residents and
by creating an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. For the last two years,
a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department gang task force has worked to get
gang members off the streets with aggressive enforcement of immigration,
housing and parole violations. "We've done it without an injunction," said
Lt. Paul Pietrantoni, who heads the task force. "We have the lowest murder
rate in 20 years in Compton. "This is crazy," said Knight, co-founder of
Death Row Records. "I'm a 42-year-old business-man, not a gang member. I
don't even live in Compton anymore . . . . This injunction names people who
are already in jail, and at least one guy who is long dead." Mob Piru
members have gained widespread notoriety for their alleged links to Knight
and Death Row Records, once home to some of rap's biggest names. But
sheriff's officials say the gang is on the decline. The injunction would
create a huge "safety zone" in the neighborhood bounded by Bullis Road on
the west, Pine Street on the north, Thorson Avenue on the east and Rosecrans
Avenue on the south. It would ban the estimated 200 members of the gang from
congregating, carrying guns, using gang gestures, spray-painting graffiti,
fighting or drinking alcohol in public and staying out past 10 p.m.
Violators would be subject to arrest on misdemeanor charges, which could
bring a $1,000 fine or up to one year in jail, and that would scare them
how? There are dozens of similar injunctions in place in cities throughout
Southern California, including Los Angeles, Anaheim, Oxnard and Riverside.
Los Angeles County has about 44 gang injunctions, according to the district
attorney's office.
Lenny
Kravitz insists he's been celibate for three years. "It's just a promise I
made until I get married," the rocker, who's been married to Lisa Bonet, and
linked to Adriana Lima, Devon Aoki, Natalie
Imbruglia, Vanessa Paradis, Kylie Minogue, & not mention Madonna, Penelope
Cruz and Nicole Kidman tells next month's Spin magazine. "Where I'm at in
life, the women have got to come with something else, not just the body, but
the mind and spirit. It usually trips them out, but that's the way it's
going to be. I'm looking at the big picture." Also steering clear of sex is
Sandy "Pepa" Denton of Salt-n-Pepa. "Just because I'm flirtatious people
think I'm loose. But it's not true," the hip-hop
honey tells Steppin' Out's Chaunce Hayden. "Truth be told, I haven't had any
sex in two years . . I need a guy to make me go 'Wow!' and I
just haven't found that guy. My standards have gone way up . . I'm not
just jumping right in anymore." How times have changed. I remember not so
long ago... Oh forgot this is going out live, I do not know no-ting,
no-ting I swear...
Amy Winehouse is
in the news yet again. Recently we
ran the story about her going to rehab. The troubled singer was spotted
entering a private rehabilitation clinic in London Tuesday, just hours after
a 19-minute video surfaced online of the 'Rehab' crooner taking cocaine,
ecstasy and valium, and smoking crack. But Winehouse's rep told People
magazine that the singer was merely seeing a doctor as part of her ongoing
treatment for drug addiction. Scotland Yard now started an investigation
Wednesday
into a video that allegedly shows troubled British singer Amy Winehouse
smoking crack. The British tabloid, The Sun, just released grainy footage
showing Grammy-nominated Winehouse, 24, inhaling fumes from a pipe. The
video was reportedly shot hours before she attended a court hearing for her
jailed husband. Police will look at the video before deciding whether any
charges should be brought against Winehouse.

Our Favorite Bronx rapper
Remy Ma's assault case
hearing was postponed for a second time this morning (Jan. 17) because her
lawyer, Ivan Fisher, is still ill. Remy's pre-trial hearing, which was
originally scheduled for January 10, was put off until today (January 17)
after the rapper's lawyer first called out sick. Remy who stands accused of
shooting long-time associate Makeda Barnes- Joseph twice in the abdomen,
strolled into the courtroom this morning around 9:45 a.m. wearing a long
black coat, a gray sweater dress and boots. All parties will return to
Manhattan Criminal Court on January 31 to set a definite trial date. The
Judge, R. Uviller was clearly pissed.
Though no criminal
charges were filed against hip-hop
mogul Sean Combs in last February's alleged post-Oscars party beating, four
witnesses have come forward to say Diddy did it. Puff allegedly decked
Gerard Rechnitzer at a posh after awards affair last year. While he was
cleared of all criminal charges last July, Rechnitzer has now filed a civil
action lawsuit against the entertainer in Los Angeles, according to New
York's Daily News. Rechnitzer, a 27-year-old real estate agent, claims he
saw Diddy hitting on his fiance outside of the Roosevelt Hotel. When
Rechnitzer tried to escort his lady away, Diddy allegedly clobbered him.
Rechnitzer is seeking unspecified damages in the suit.
Mac World Conference
& Expo 2008 at The
Moscone
Center, San Francisco, The conference is Jan 14th-18th and the expo is
from 15th to 18th. I am awe inspired since I am here and running
around for the expo. I am so exhausted and have to get a wheelchair in
a second it is crazy here. I need some sleep it is so crazy but with
so many things to see, no sleep for the weary ok. I am not really
taking pics but there will be some pics of some products and some great
things released. Steve Jobs unleased the Mac Book Air, it sounded good
till I got a rep down for a one on one. I was a dog with a bone, as I
can get for any product when I want to find out what is really going on.
I was asking the tough questions and not backing down. So watching the
rep sweat is the best part of the day. So keep Checking to find out
what is going on and see my dailys. Sorry but have to back to action
now..
Lets get ready to rumble,
he says she says match.. IIt's all over between Jennifer Lopez and her
manager,
music biz legend Irving Azoff. He says that he just fired J.Lo for being
"unprofessional" and for allowing hubby Marc Anthony to "constantly meddle."
Which is a flaw of Marks that has been reported many times. He has been the
cause of many problems with directors and other authorities in the business.
He has been known to add stress to many acting jobs she has had of late.
Most of the hollywood types love J, hate Mark, but will work around his
excessive meddling. Jennifer got a letter from Azoff last week, we're told,
detailing
"in
blunt terms" why he was ditching her as a client after less than a year.
There was also a "heated phone call" last week between Jenny's handlers and
Azoff. JLO says a different story, stories of a bitter split are completely
untrue. The rep says "she let him go on Friday with no drama." As for the
letter? Jen's camp has no knowledge of it.

Get this... Well, it seems that,
The judge in Foxy Brown's plea to be
released from jail, due to potential
damage to hearing, wants proof. This has been said all over the press,
but hey we can truly understand. According to the Associated Press, New York
Supreme Court Justice Melissa Jackson said she wanted proof on Thursday
(January 17th) that the rapper is in fact in danger of losing her hearing
unless she can be released to travel to Los Angeles' House Clinic for
treatment and repair of a defective cochlear implant. The rapper (real name:
Inga Marchand) revealed in the past, after several setbacks in the recording
of her Def Jam album Black Roses, that she at one point had lost her
hearing. After surgery, however, it was repaired. She was serving her one
year sentence like a good girl but now Foxy claims her hearing is worsening,
and if she remains behind bars without treatment, it could result in serious
harm. The judge wants proof before any decision is made, Foxy's Lawyer is
just asking that her sentence be amended so she can make a trip to L.A. The
D.A., however, objected, saying the rapper, as an inmate, doesn't have the
right to her own doctor and/or a reduction in her sentence, saying
"The mere existence of a debilitating health condition does not merit a
sentence reduction, even if it is a terminal illness." Before leaving the
courtroom, the rapper revealed to the judge that her time behind bars has
been good for her, claiming she has learned to think before she acts.
Britney
Spears had been "strongly advised" by her
legal
team to attend a custody hearing. Britney Spears, who is 26, and ex-husband
Kevin Federline, 29, are not required to show, but, "Britney needs to be
there because it's much easier to defend your client if he/she is present to
refute what witnesses say." Whether she takes the stand or not depends on
what witnesses say, and whether or not her lawyers think her testimony may
backfire. But they've got nowhere to go but up at this point. Also, if she
doesn't attend, it shows a lack of interest on her part in getting back her
kids. Federline currently has sole legal and physical custody of their
children, Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1. The pop star was stripped of all
visitation rights following her hospitalization. Also at issue Monday is
whether the court would extend its ban on Spears's visitation. She will have
the opportunity to persuade the court that she can have some visitation
under monitored conditions. In April, a child custody evaluator will
recommend to the court who should have the kids, but no custody arrangement
is permanent. Especially since either party can always request a court to
change them at any time in the future. More
history on this a navy blue suited and mohawked K-Fed and his
attorney
Mark Vincent Kaplan did arrive to court. LAPD isn't taking any chances,
enlisting two cameramen of their own to document what goes down this
morning, shot-by-shot. All of this is in response to what has been happening
after the last few Spears circuses downtown, the LAPD has fired up a team of
videographers to catch exactly what goes on. They're training the officers
to help "monitor" and "document" the situations, everything from the
pap-insanity, to incidents like Britney running over a deputy's foot. In a
way to cut down on celebrity incidents this is the LAPD's response.
Update: She showed up to the wrong court
building, then went to the right one and was so turned around and she got
tired of the media in front and turned and left before going into the
building. This shows that this woman is stressed and not thinking
clearly. She might have to lose custody just to get her thinking
straight. She should have brought her skinny little butt into court
and fought for her kids, The Commissioner has just ruled that Britney will
not have visitation restored, at least until the next hearing on February
19th. The order came after the testimony of several people, including two
LAPD cops who responded to the craziness a week ago Thursday; Lisa Hacker, a
parenting coach; Lonnie Jones, a bodyguard, and Pamela Strong, the court
monitor who was present during the drama. K-Fed's attorney Mark Vincent
Kaplan testified as well. but hey what do you get when you put a woman who
has no sense into a bright light, a bright mess... And this is just this
bout into the drama that is called Britney beoooch..

The guy who co-wrote "Pulp
Fiction" with Quentin Tarantino was arrested today on suspicion of
manslaughter and felony DUI, after the car he was driving crashed, injuring
his wife and killing his other passenger. Roger Avary was driving in Ojai,
Calif. early Sunday morning when the accident occurred, throwing wife
Gretchen from the car and killing Andreas Zini, a friend visiting from
Italy. Zini died later Sunday morning from "internal injuries." Avary's wife
was in stable condition as of Sunday night. The Ventura County Sheriff's
Department said that Avary was under the influence of alcohol at the time of
the crash. He posted $50,000 bail and was released. He also co-wrote Beowulf
and directed 'The Rules of Attraction'.

Kanye West's mom, Dr. Donda
West, likely died of
a heart attack and
other "multiple postoperative factors" related to her plastic surgery,
according to the Los Angeles County coroner's report. However, the report
didn't list an exact cause of death, adding that "there was no evidence of a
surgical or anesthetic misadventure." Dr. West died Nov. 10 following
liposuction and breast-reduction surgery performed by Dr. Jan Adams. TMZ has
just received the final coroner's report on the death of Donda West. The
L.A. County Coroner has concluded that Kanye's mom died of "coronary artery
disease and multiple post-operative factors due to or as a consequence of
liposuction and mammoplasty." Plainly put, she had a heart attack after the
surgery.

A war of sorts seems to be erupting between the L.A.
County Sheriff's Department and some L.A.
County
judges on the subject of incarcerated celebs. Actress Michelle Rodriguez was
released yesterday, after serving only 10% of her sentence. With a partial
last day, that computes to 18 days in the pokey. The judge who sentenced her
for a DUI-related probation violation had ordered that she fully serve her
180-day sentence. So why did the Sheriff do it? Well, When Michelle's lawyer
Shawn Chapman Holley appeared in court on Wednesday where the judge
expressed her utter complete displeasure about the plan to release Rodriguez
early, but ultimately said that the Sheriff controlled the jail. The judge
made it clear that she wanted Michelle in the slammer for her sentence. But
law enforcement
sources say the Sheriff felt he had to treat Rodriguez the way he treats
every other female inmate. Because of the severe overcrowding, the standard
is to release everyone after they serve 10% of their time. Even though the
judge drew the line in the sand and demanded the full nine yards, the
Sheriff felt equality was more important. We're told the judge knew what the
Sheriff was doing before Michelle was sprung. You'll recall the Sheriff had
a running standoff with the judge in the Paris Hilton case as well. It's the
new court craze! But I guess because she is Latina, a woman of color,
it was a issue... Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Richie each served just over an
hour of their respective DUI sentences at the same facility, while Paris
Hilton was released 23 days into her 45-day sentence for a probation
violation. Rodriguez was handed her sentence in October, after she owned up
to failing to complete her 30 hours of court-ordered community service. She
also acknowledged drinking alcohol on several occasions in defiance of the
monitoring bracelet on her ankle. Over the years, Rodriguez's police file
has been growing steadily bigger. The Girlfight star was sentenced to three
years' probation in 2004 after she pleaded no contest to misdemeanor DUI,
hit and run and driving with a suspended license. Her L.A.-based probation
was revoked last year after she racked up a string of speeding tickets in
Hawaii while filming Lost, not to mention a DUI arrest in December 2005, for
which she served four days in an Oahu lockup. In May 2006, she was sentenced
to 60 days in jail for violating her probation but was released after just
four hours and 20 minutes due, once again, to overcrowding. All of this to
say, she needs to reevaluate her life and slow down. Whos to say that it
would have helped her, or hurt her, she needs to chill out. Time will see if
she takes her life seriously, and can still work in the movie genre.
Because I am also Latin, I have several thoughts, but girl, when I met you,
you was a wild child, but now you must walk as a woman, leaving the child
behind, we wish you luck. She is trying to make up for lost time, namely
NY's eve and was stopped at a light by the paps and was But in an amazing
turn of events, Keifer Sutherland will stay his whole bit, he will not get
out early, even though it is overcrowded. He is a model prisoner
though, even though he has recieved no visitors, he does get a lot of fan
mail. He is on laundry duty and said to be a A+ inmate.

The former Mrs.
Russell Simmons aka Kimora Simmons and hip-hop fashion empress turned
reality TV starlet is going au naturel for a new ad campaign. This time, it
wont be the sensational shots she starred in to promote the Baby Phat
sneakers line but for a new eye-popping campaign for PETA (People for the
Ethical Treatment of Animals). In the ad, titled "Be an Angel for Dogs," the
statuesque St. Louis native wears nothing but a stunning pair of angel wings
and holding her dog, Zoe, to illustrate the her naked desire to get people
to make dogs a part of their families-and not leave them tied up outside or
cooped up at home alone all day."You cannot just chain up an animal,"
Simmons said. "The chains are heavy, it's cruel. Dogs need to run and play."
According to a PETA spokesperson, the campaign was launched to coincide with
national Unchain a Dog Month, which is observed every January. Simmons has
reportedly donated
more than $20,000 to PETA to help severely underprivileged dogs living in
low-income, rural areas. "Thanks to her generosity, more than 100 dogs have
received sturdy, weather-tight doghouses with a shade overhang for summer,
straw bedding, toys, and new collars and harnesses," the rep said. "Simmons'
funding of PETA's program provides not only truckloads of houses but also
staff to deliver them, truck rental and gas, and the equipment to dig up
fences and posts that commonly tangle dogs' tethers."

Britney Spears might look happy on the cover of
the
next issue of OK! Magazine, on which she poses
for a portrait with her two young sons for the first time, but that was
before the singer's custody battle put her in
crisis mode and landed her in the hospital, only to have Dr. Phil McGraw
later claim she was in "dire need" of an intervention. His statement riled
the Spears family, who fought back Wednesday with some choice words of their
own, and with good reason. Spears family business manager Lou Taylor, who
appeared via satellite on NBC's "Today," called the television
psychologist's statement "inappropriate" and his effort to get the Spears
family on his program "self-serving." McGraw (a.k.a. Dr. Phil) had visited
the singer in the hospital as she was packing to leave, at the behest of her
family members. But even though he wasn't technically her doctor, Taylor
said, he should have kept his observations and their conversation
confidential. "The family extended an invitation of trust for him to come in
as a resource to support them, not to go out and make public statements,"
she said. "Any statement he made publicly, because he was brought in under
this cloak of trust, is inappropriate." The Spears family decided it would
be "detrimental" to appear on Dr. Phil's show, because it would "not be a
vector to get Britney help," Taylor said. "Dr. Phil did broach this issue,
and I thought that was inappropriate for him to even be self-serving and
bring something like that up." Also speaking out, on whether the Spears
family likes it or not, is photographer Dani Brubaker, who spoke in lieu of
the singer for OK!'s cover story this week. Brubaker shot the portrait of
Spears with Sean Preston and Jayden James in the backyard of the singer's
Beverly Hills home. "She was very loving," Brubaker told the magazine. "She
told me that she loved her children and that they are her life. She was very
attentive to their needs. You can see a connection between parents and their
kids, and you can get a feeling if a child is well-loved by the mother.
That's exactly what I experienced." Brubaker observed Spears with her
children for just under an hour but didn't witness anything that indicated
Spears was troubled. "She was an extremely sweet and kind person. She said,
'Yes, ma'am,' every time she responded to me." But once the photos were
developed, Spears was in a different place emotionally. "I'm told that when
she saw the photographs, she literally cried for over an hour and stared at
them all night long," Brubaker told the magazine, but this showed that she
was troubled, just not overtly. There's no telling whether Spears realized
she was about to lose the right to visit her children (at least
temporarily), and if she were to attempt to see them, she could be arrested.
During her custody standoff with the Los Angeles Police Department on
Thursday night, as a matter of procedure, the LAPD sought and received an
emergency protection order to prevent the singer from seeking out Kevin
Federline. The order, which expires Thursday, says Spears must not attempt
to contact Federline by telephone or send any messages to him. She also must
not "molest, harass, attack, strike, threaten, sexually assault, batter,
follow, stalk, destroy any personal property of, or disturb the peace of"
her ex-husband, who temporarily has sole custody of their children. He could
file for an extended restraining order though. (The pic is Ok!

Now for the latest:
Its Britney Beoooch, she left the paps in the
dust. In response to the thought that her parents were about to have
her committed, she gave the paps the shake and headed to Mexico. She left
with her pap boyfriend. They made plans to fly to New York on the
manifest, sending all the paps to NYC. But the private plane changed routes
and flew to Mexico. Some are saying that it was the best thing for her, some
are saying that she should have checked herself into a hospital to check out
if she is mental or just have manic tendencies or whatever..
Well, it has not stopped yet, the rollercoaster
kept rolling however for Britney, even in her absence. K-Fed's Lawyers
requested a full report on what went down at Britney's house on that
Thursday, They are requesting the release of the all the names of the
LAPD officers who responded to the scene. It seems that they might
want those officers and emergency personnel to testify in open court about
what happened and how it went down. That can be what started or finallized
the thought to flee to Mexico. Because it might come down to her going to be
admitted without her consent can be done if she keeps acting crazy, ok lets
not say that, if she does not stop acting wild in public she can be in
jeapody of being committed. Monday's custody hearing could be one of the
most important days in Britney Spears' life. We're told Brit must show and
face the judge if she's got any hope of getting her kids back. What can
happen, if she doesn't show, or is uncooperative, it could be curtains for
her custody case. L.A County Sheriff's Department isn't taking any chances,
they are going to be ready for anything. If Brit Brit loses it in court,
they'll be there to "handle" the situation. And everyone knows that LAPD do
not play!!!
She may have gotten wind of this happening and she
is back in California. She looked somber upon returning and not
wanting to be in the pap life, even though her pap bf was with her.
She needs to rest and get ready for this next court case, for it will be
hard for her, and may lose her kids if she does not keep it cool and
collected. T
This is just in: The police wrote a Child
Endangering Report which is now under lock and key at the LAPD. LAPD can
conduct further inquiry and possibly even arrest Spears if they determine a
crime was committed, because of all of the events at the house, including
locking herself in the bathroom with Jayden and violating the custody order.
Sources say when the cops showed up, Britney was locked in the master
bathroom with Jayden James. Officers saw Britney from the backyard holding
Jayden, who did not appear to be upset. Britney refused to come out for
nearly three hours. When she did, all she was wearing was panties. Britney
was incoherent, screaming at the cops, "What the f*** are you doing in my
house? I know who you are." She continued ranting, "I don't need your f***ing
help." At one point Britney, whose moods swung wildly from laughter to rage
to sobs, hollered, "You will do as I say." Britney put on a see-through
nightgown. Before police took her outside, they wanted to cover her with a
sweater, and she screamed, "Don't cover me up. I'm fucking hot." Britney's
assistant and nanny were present during the standoff. At one point the
assistant told the police that Britney had been "popping pills" all day.
Officers found a bottle of Prozac in her bedroom. Britney's assistant also
told cops that earlier in the day, Britney showed no concern about attending
her deposition and would not heed her warnings to show up on time. Sam Lutfi
told law enforcement that Britney had been extremely unstable and had
recently purchased a house in Malibu on a whim, began moving furniture in
and then changed her mind. As for Jayden James, the reason cops took him to
the hospital was because there was a small bruise on his leg. Britney
insisted the bruise occurred on Kevin's watch. Police took Jayden to Cedars
as a precautionary measure. Suppossedly the police will testify about the
insanity at Monday's custody hearing. To add insult upon injury the nanny
told cops that Britney would frequently dress up to the nines for no reason.
She would walk around the house and change back to what she was wearing.
This will be a long drawn out for Britney, she is going to have a hard
uphill fight. Back to top
Prodigy's prison term
on a charge of gun possession has been pushed back to allow doctors time to
produce records documenting the Mobb Deep rapper's sickle cell anemia,
according to New York's Daily News. The MC (real name: Albert Johnson) was
supposed to start a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence, for which he was
indicted in October, on Wednesday, but a New York judge said doctors need
more time to gather medical records, Daily News reports. The judge will
reportedly talk to state officials about assigning Prodigy to a prison where
he would be able to get easy access to medical treatment for sickle cell
anemia, which is an incurable blood disorder that can lead to stroke and
organ damage. Earlier this month, Prodigy announced plans to issue his
second solo album while behind bars. H.N.I.C. Part 2 is due in March.

screenwriter who also is a self-described techie, they are the latest
entertainers to launch a new website showcasing all sorts of videos,

to promote their own work. They have greater. loftier ambitions: to create a
TV-style network with multiple channels and high-quality video that can
support everything from short videos to full-length movies. UVNTV (short for
U View Network Television, at uvntv.com), still in rollout mode, now

Microsoft-developed format called Silverlight that promises definition high
enough to be played on big screens. Shows can be viewed by time or on

community-building features along the lines of MySpace. Eventually, the
founders hope thousands of individuals, studios and corporations will bring
their material to UVNTV, drawn by artistic freedom and the opportunity to
bring their material to a new audience, and make money in the process.
They're inviting everyone from kind of new or fledgling filmmakers and
performers to established stars, networks and companies. Channel partners
will share advertising revenue with UVNTV or sell their own ads on their own
channels. "We figured we needed to think about how could we still be part of
entertainment in this future that's coming out at full speed," says Cube,
whose new movie, First Sunday, opens this weekend. "We didn't just want to
be providers of a product. We wanted to be a full-blown network. I think
we're going to have programming that's way more interesting than what you
can see on your daily television or even YouTube." Cube says they're not
competing with YouTube or other existing networks, but adding a needed new
player to the mix. "Yeah, (artists) can throw (content) up and hope that it
gets seen on a YouTube or whatever. But here you can present it the way you
want it. And if you get enough people to come and watch, you become a major
player in entertainment." Although there are pundits, naysayers, saying that
what they are doing is one of the hardest things to do, it has not swayed
them from doing their thing. "People are going to doubt anything that you
do," he says. "People have doubted everything we've done, coming from the
inner city. Ice Cube and I have had the No. 1 record in the country, (Cube
has had) the No. 1 movie. I've had the No. 1 video. And we now will have the
No. 1 website, says Pooh. And Pooh goes on to say: "Nobody thought YouTube
would be big," he says. "I told people about YouTube, and they thought it
was the stupidest idea in the world.
People were wrong. We're preparing for the future." They, Snoop and
Pooh, are banking on niche in the live market and it can work. Although
studios worry about things they cannot contain and try to knock down free
thinking that they cannot control, these and others like U-tube do well
without their control. Well, in other news on Ice Cube: he is up for
the role of B.A. Baracus. Although he is going to have to cut his now
great afro into a mohawk reminiscent of Mr. T. Like most of us who grew up
during the '80s, Cube loved the action program about four military veterans
framed for a crime they didn't commit. While out on the lam, they always
found time to help the little people in need ... for the right price!
Besides B.A., the outfit consisted of Captain H.M. "Howling Mad" Murdock,
"Face" (a.k.a. Lieutenant Templeton Peck) and their leader, Colonel John
"Hannibal" Smith. Cube's next film will be "First Sunday," a sentimental
comedy co-starring Tracy Morgan and Katt Williams. In the movie, Cube and
Morgan star as two best friends who decide to rob a church (Williams is the
choir director) when they get into financial dire straights. Cube also just
dropped a new single: "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It." It's the first single
from his album, Raw Footage, which is due later this year.

I do not know if you
remember the singer named Stevie B. He was and is a Freestyle
artist who came out with hit after hit in the 90's and 80's. He is coming
out with a hot new song for his lasting list of hits. He was a mainstay of
Freestyle and Top 40 hits. He took a break but has been keeping up his
chops. So do you wanna Check out his new song. Check it out below:
What is amazing is that he is a great singer and mad
cool, having known him for many years. He is a hard interview though,
for he is better just in person. Hopefully I will lock him down for a

Last month, South Philly rapper
Beanie Sigel talked about the lack of support
Roc-A-Fella artists
are getting from the label on Angie Martinez's Hot 97 radio show. Yet this
time Beanie seems to be blaming Jay-Z for the breakdown. In a recent sit
down with G-Unit DJ, Whoo Kid's Sirius Satellite show, Beanie alluded to a
rift with the hip-hop mogul. Beanie said his last album, The Solution, which
came out in December, has gotten no support from the label. About his
marketing, promotion, touring, radio play "...man I don't know what the
@#*$'s going on." Even his labelmate Freeway is getting shafted to according
to Beanie. "Def Jam sucks!" Whoo Kid proclaimed on the air, after telling
Beanie it's
"Camel hunting season." Beanie said that he is going to Def Jam next week to
see whats up. Hopefully someone will tell him whats going on, according to
Beanie. Freeway's feeling just as out of the loop. The State Property rapper
also chopped it up with Whoo Kid about his grievances with the label. When
Jay-Z resigned as president of Def Jam, Free said Hov didn't even hit him up
with the news. Freeway got the memo the way most everybody else did. "I
heard its official, but I got it off the internet though," Free said.

The Local
Houston rapper, Michael Francis, died Friday afternoon (Jan. 4) in the
recording studio he co-owned, after suffering an accidental gunshot wound to
the head. According to the Houston Chronicle, police discovered the
32-year-old rapper dead from an accidental gunshot to the head Friday at 4
p.m., after responding to reports of a shooting at Fam Tide Records. While
investigators continue to interview friends and co-workers of Francis, who
rapped under the name Arcani Crosswords, information collected thus far
indicate he accidentally shot himself while playing with the gun, Sgt.
Robert Blain of HPD's homicide division said. Francis' past includes several
brushes with the law, resulting in jail time served for misdemeanor charges
including possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license and
evading arrest. However, friends and family members say he had left those
problems in the past, and only carried a gun for protection. Francis, who
co-owned and operated the Fam Tide studios, rap served as an outlet.

Ok here it goes yet again. But it looks like
K-Fed's Lawyers are not so forgiving as we thought. K's -Mark
Vincent Kaplan is headed to court this
Morning
to file for full custody, stripping her of visitation rights of the kids for
at least now. Brit's Attny, Tara Scott (at least for now), will be there to
represent Britney, who is undergoing Psychiatric Evaluation at Cedars-Sinai
Medical Center, CA. (5150 hold-evidence that she is a danger to herself or
others) After a wild scene happened at Brit's house last night. Details are
sketchy and soon forthcoming. It seems that this instability may be mental,
not chemical in nature. Since she has not had a drug or alcohol problem of
late, it had been monitored closely, her mental state has deteriorated till
the incident at the house was not so unexpected (although many are
speculating that it is drug related). What was the incident at the
home? Well it seems that she refused to return custody of the 2 kids
to their fathers bodyguard and all hell broke loose. Cops were called
and she was sent to
hospital, then to Cedars. In a related story, her son Jayden was taken also
to the hospital, no word for what, Sean was fine and was seen at hospital
with father later. K-Fed is in line to testify in court today at 1pm, he
snuck in.
Updated:
Ok, so even Dr. Phil
has tried to reach Britney. But she cut down the visit from him from
one hour to 15 minutes. He dropped the interview from his show and she
is said to be Bi-polar, which explains alot. It has been speculated not
proven that she drank and took a very crazy cocktail of drugs and boose that
turned her even more manic. It was a combo of Nyquil, Red Bull & Vodca
named Purple Monster mixed with 10 sleeping pills, 12 vicodin,
6 ritalin &
10 zantacs. It sent her over the edge, when she was already not stable.
Although there are competing sources sayin that she tested clean. But no
matter what, She lost visitation on Friday, sorry did not get that in before
days end, and it was not in the magazine. But it is here now and
Britney is out of control.
Evidence: even "Dr. Phil" McGraw has pulled the plug on plans for a one-hour
show that was to examine Britney Spears' latest public meltdown. In a
statement posted Monday on his Web site, McGraw said the 26-year-old pop
star's situation was "too intense" for him to go forward with the show. He
didn't say whether he planned to reschedule. Spears was hospitalized
Thursday night after a child custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline
resulted in an hours-long standoff with police. On Friday, a court
commissioner gave sole physical and legal custody of 1-year-old Jayden James
and 2-year-old Sean Preston to ex K-Fed.
According to two separate family
acquaintances, they believe Spears suffers from an undiagnosed bipolar
disorder, a psychological problem one of the sources claims Spears has
suffered from "for years." According to
TMZ.com,
the "responsible"
folks closest to Britney (are there any?) are trying desperately to convince
her to check herself back into the hospital. Spears is reportedly (and
predictably) resisting.
To add to it all, Britney got a flat
tire on Monday, She pulled over when a pap told her about the flat tire.
Instead of asking the paps to change it for her, Which might of been
the
best thought. Might as well use them, they use her all the time so it
would have been a tradeoff. Brit abandoned her Mercedes in the middle of the
street (taking the keys with her), jumped in a paparazzo's car and went
home. LAPD towed the car to a nearby lot for safekeeping, Spears will be
charged $104 for the tow and $35.60 for storage. Spears then brought her
brand of crazy back to the Four Seasons, which is apparently letting her
back in probably due to press pressure, and negative publicity.
also on the Spears front, it is
Jamie Lynn update: Brit's
lil' sis (with papa Casey close by) was spotted on Friday as she left an
adult education center with a GED book in hand. She could have used some
adult education four months ago! This was reportedly day after she called
her sis and got dissed about being the other spears in the news... Back to top

Miss Jessica Sierra has
been denied treatment in California. Sierra was released from jail in
Florida this morning, and was to fly to Dr. Drew's Pasadena Recovery Center,
but never got on the plane. A judge had agreed to send Sierra to Drew's
facility for a year, to be followed up by three years of probation. But now,
City of Tampa prosecutor Pam Bondi tells us the California Department of
Probation has denied treating Jessica Sierra as an "emergency transfer."
Because of this, Sierra will appear in a Tampa courtroom tomorrow to figure
out what her next steps are. Sierra had been in jail since December 1, after
her arrest on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without
violence. The arrest came after she taped the VH1 series "Celebrity Rehab
With Dr. Drew." And That arrest was a violation of her probation on previous
charges stemming from another arrest in April. On that occasion, cops say
she threw a glass at a bar patron and had cocaine on her.
Although we hear or see stories related to
Kid of Kid and Play. Kid (Christopher
Reid) now sporting a
laid down conk instead of the all so familiar high top fade. If you have not
seen a recent pic or video of him, catch TMZ online or TV story. Usually
drunk unfortunately, but at least doing well, but everyone wanted to know
about play. He has been absent from paps view, which is a good thing but
this story is not one: The Actor-Rapper Play (Christopher Martin), of the legendary Hip-Hop group Kid-N-Play
(known for being the good
looking, dark skin, clean cut one), was
seriously injured in a wild car accident that killed one person in Durham,
North Carolina last weekend. Play, born Christopher Martin and a female
passenger were injured when his SUV was struck by a driver on Saturday
(December 29) who was shot, while attempting to flee Durham police officers
after a home invasion robbery. According to police, three men broke into a
house in Durham and began stealing property and subduing the residents. As
two of the men exited the house, police arrived on the scene. The driver of
the waiting Ford Taurus, 34-year-old Raul Aldamo, drove at officers,
striking one of the officers, who fired on the vehicle. Aldamo,
mortally-wounded, managed to drive about a half a mile, when he struck an
SUV driven by Play. Play and his passenger were ejected from the vehicle,
while Aldamo died at the scene. In good news, especially for his family and
friends, Play, who is now 41 years old and his passenger were released from
the hospital yesterday (January 2nd). Two other suspects, Alonzo Castillo,
39 and Luis Campo, 26 were arrested and charged with robbery with a
dangerous weapon, kidnapping and burglary. Play, a born-again Christian,
went on to found HP4 Digital Works & Solutions and is currently a teacher at
North Carolina Central University in North Carolina. Fans wishing to send
Play get well greetings can email:

amazingly funny is that me and Play shared a birthday party long, long ago
in Queens. His is July 10th, mine July

I had to Dj on my own birthday.
It was a tough decision for her to make, but V-103’s
Porsche Foxx confirmed that
Vivica Fox appears in a controversial sex tape that is currently making
the rounds. In the tape, an apparently inebriated Vivica can be seen on her
knees servicing a male friend who surreptitiously taped the encounter on his
cell phone. Allegedly the man, who lives in Atlanta, emailed the tape to
friends who emailed it to Vivica. She quickly forwarded the tape to a friend
at the Atlanta police department. It isn’t known if Vivica filed an official
complaint with the police or if she asked her police friend to handle the
situation privately. At any rate, men tattle worse than females, especially
here in the ATL, so the tape got out. It isn’t known if Vivica filed an

Brandy is in the
clear, well this is according
to TMZ, the Los Angeles city attorney will not be filing charges against the
singer over the multi-car crash that claimed the life of a woman in December
2006. The attorney had until the end of the day Friday (December 28th 2006)
to file criminal charges against Brandy in the incident. The singer's
attorney, Blair Berk, reportedly responded with a statement, saying, "These
past 12 months have posed an extraordinary hardship for Brandy and her
family, who have been unfairly forced to live under a cloud of suspicion
initially caused by the ill-advised and premature press release sent out by
the California Highway Patrol accusing Brandy of wrongdoing before the
police investigation was even finished. However, Brandy continues to be
mindful that she was so fortunate to be uninjured in this accident and there
was a life lost that should be remembered." Good news for Brandy: An unnamed
California Highway Patrol source reportedly told TMZ.com that the woman who
died in a 2006 car crash involving the singer may have actually caused the
crash herself. As officials continued to consider filing vehicular
manslaughter charges over the December 2006 accident that took the life of Awatef Aboudihaj, the source told TMZ that rather than being the cause of
the accident, Brandy may have been a victim of the pileup. According to the
sources, Aboudihaj struck the vehicle in front of her and then slammed on
her brakes, which caused Brandy to hit the woman's car. Brandy is, however,
still facing a $50 million wrongful-death suit from the family of the
victim, Awatef Aboudihaj.

Radiohead decided to split
with their longtime label EMI in the fall after the company's new boss, Guy
Hands, rejected a deal that would have cost the company more than $20
million, according to the London Times. The U.K. outlet reports that the
band had been offered a $6 million advance by Hands for In Rainbows, but
demanded more. An EMI spokesperson who was not named told the Times that, "Radiohead
were demanding an extraordinary amount of money, and we did not believe that
our other artists should have to subsidize their gains." The bandmembers
reportedly responded that they believed more big-name artists would be
leaving EMI and accused Hands of not negotiating seriously with them. The
deal Radiohead sought also reportedly included the handing over of some of
the copyrights to their back catalog, a move that could have cost the label
millions in future earnings. Band manager Bryce Edge told The Times, "We
couldn't move ahead with EMI because Guy Hands irrevocably refused to
discuss the catalog in any meaningful way. We sold 25 million records, and
we have the moral rights over those six albums. We wanted a say in how they
are exploited in the future. We were not seeking a big advance payment, or a
guaranteed marketing spend, as discussions never got that far."

Don't mess with Trey Songz.
Videos circulating online show the R&B singer lashing out at a fan who
apparently threw ice at him during a recent concert. As seen in the clips,
Trey Songz tells the DJ to cut the music after the objects are thrown, and
he then leaps into the crowd with his bodyguard to go after the fan. He is
later seen apologizing to the women in the crowd for the disruption.

Although I actually have known this man for many
years, I was shocked that this came across my desk. I actually kept it
till it was backed by other reports, so here it goes: A former girlfriend
who alleges she was raped by Esai Morales, who is
the Brooklyn-born actor best known for roles in "NYPD Blue" and "La Bamba" ,
said Friday two more women have made similar charges. "Since I initiated my
lawsuit against (him), I have been approached by two women who have provided
sworn declarations, detailing instances of violent rapes and sexual assaults
against them by Morales." Mazzocchi claims two women have given her sworn
statements attesting that they, too, were assaulted, the source says at
least one other person made similar claims but would not go on the record.
Mazzocchi also says Morales gave her herpes. "He said, 'So what, 30 million
other people have it too,'" she claims. He may be in trouble on this
one, keep it locked... Back to top
Beyonce Lawsuit update: After have a lawsuit against her dismissed last year, a judge ruled on
the subsequent appeal on Dec. 27, and Beyoncé won that one, too!!! Jennifer
Armour filed suit in 2005 against Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Sean Paul, Scott Storch
and others, claiming she gave Matthew Knowles, Beyoncé's dad, a demo of her
song, "Got a Little Bit of Love for You," back in March 2003. Armour claims
Beyoncé and company ripped it off and turned into the Grammy-winning hit.
"Baby Boy.. But in October 2006 -- and again last week -- the court ruled
that two songs were "substantially dissimilar" and that Armour could not
prove that Beyoncé had access to her demo before making her song.
