In Computer News:  (1)Halo Fans could not get into the Halo 3 test, there was a problem.  They could not get into the test as scheduled but soon however there was a downloadable patch put on the site and fans could get in.  It extended the test till June 10th and a apology was written to the loyal fans, what greatDell guys. (2) Dell is being sued by NY for false advertising.  It seems that their customer service is lackluster and that in a effort to save money or pocket it, they forced customers to work on their own machines.  This is a surprise since they are always forcing their plans of $200-400 down your throat.  NY's Attn General is leading the fight against them.  Citing the bad service, deceptive practices as its key point to the complaint.

Candy Spelling weighed in on Paris debacle. She wrote Paris a Letter for her stay in the jumpsuit.  Jail will help her slow down is the hope she says..... Candy is mother to Tori Spelling.

A bronze bust of soul singer Otis Redding has been unveiled outside the Guitar Center at Hollywood's Rock Walk. The late star's widow Zelma Redding and daughter Karla Redding-Andrews attended the ceremony on Friday, which was organized to honor all performers at 1967's Monterey International Pop Festival. The Mamas and the Papas singer Michelle Phillips, who is the only living member of the '60s folk-rock group, attended the 40th anniversary event..

A federal judge ruled Thursday that the multimillionaire founder of the Girls Gone Wild empire should be sent to Nevada to face charges there once he finishes serving a jail sentence in Florida. Poor Joe Francis is in trouble yet again and he may not be released like he hoped.

A planned Rolling Stones concert in Belgrade, Serbia will not take place at the city's racetrack to avoid upsetting hundreds of horses stabled nearby. Isn't that nice of them.

The Police are convening in Vancouver this week to begin final preparations for their reunion tour, which begins there on May 28, preceded by a special fan club show the night before.  The Police have dates on tap through October 19 in Cardiff. A second North American leg is planned for the fall.

Singer George Michael said he felt "very ashamed" as he pleaded guilty on Tuesday to driving while unfit due to drugs after police found him slumped at the wheel of his car in London. The 43-year-old blamed his behavior on a mixture of tiredness and prescription medicine.  "I did something very stupid," he told a court without giving details of any drugs he had taken, media reports said. "I am perfectly aware that I did something very wrong and got into my car when I was unfit to drive. He has yet to be sentenced and faces a further hearing on May 30 for the court to consider his guilty plea, a Crown Prosecution Service spokeswoman said.  The charge carries a maximum six-month jail term and a fine of up to 5,000 pounds ($9,968).

The Grammy Awards, the music industry's most prestigious event, are getting an early start on next year's 50th anniversary with plans for a fashion line, coffee-table book, museum and TV specials, organizers said on Tuesday.  The Grammy Awards, the music industry's most prestigious event, are getting an early start on next year's 50th anniversary with plans for a fashion line, coffee-table book, museum and TV specials, organizers said on Tuesday.

Last fall, following an 11-day marathon recording session in a Vancouver studio, alt-country singer Brandi Carlile found herself plagued by self-doubt, questions and a heap of stress. "I was so worried. I was obsessive," Carlile, 25, admitted during an intimate chat in Austin, Texas. "I couldn't stop listening to every single song: what it was going to sound like when it was mixed, what people thought of it, what T. Bone thought of it. It was a stressful time where I couldn't see clearly through the fog." Once the fog cleared, however, she was left with "The Story," the near-flawless 13-track follow-up to her critically acclaimed 2005 self-titled debut. While not a chart topper, her debut garnered Carlile widespread praise from critics, earned her a heartfelt and loyal fanbase and set the stage for her to find further success with "The Story."

Halle Berry was reportedly shopping for babies clothes this weekend.  That would not usually raise a eyebrow but $1000 worth of baby things did. There was no pretense that she wanted one before her 40th Birthday but there is no confirmation of rumors as of yet from her camp either way.  But, since her birthday was a couple months ago (40), it would not be a surprise.  She is dating Gabriel Aubrey. Good luck girl...

So many people were expected Saturday for the sunset memorial service on the beach at Waikiki for legendary Hawaiian crooner Don Ho that the city arranged extra buses, parking and traffic control. As many as 25,000 people were likely to attend, which city officials said would make it one of the largest crowds ever in Waikiki. Ho, known for his catchy signature tune "Tiny Bubbles," died April 14 of heart failure at age 76. His family planned a private service, with a flotilla of canoes to accompany them as they scatter his ashes in the Pacific Ocean. The canoes also were to carry a 76-foot lei sewn together by tourists and residents. Following the scattering of ashes, several island entertainers were to perform, with one of Ho's songs, "I'll Remember You," sung by his 25-year-old daughter, Hoku.

Well some of you might remember the original Giggles, I was talking to her and she was still smiling and looking good.  She slimmed up and looks good, She is on myspace and is better than ever.   Almost everyone has a myspace page and hers is pretty good if I say so...

Britney Spears strutted her way back to center stage with a short, sexy set at the House of Blues believed to be her first public concert appearance in nearly three years. The erstwhile pop star, more recently derided as a pop tart for her highly public forays into midnight carousing, appeared to be back in top form. The 25-year-old mother of two went onstage late Tuesday wearing nothing more than knee-high go-go boots with a short white skirt and a sparkly pink bra top that showed off her belly button ring and no evidence of the weight gain that landed her on celebrity tabloid covers last year. A long brown wig completed the outfit, covering the head she shaved in February. She launched a short set with her classic "Baby One More Time," using a cafe chair as a burlesque prop while she pranced around the small club stage backed up by four dancers. Ok, now new news:  Get this, She demanded to get off a Florida bound flight because it did not have Leather Seats!!!  Oh heavens NOoooo, and to add insult upon Injury poor Britney was subjected to a skipping track during a performance.  She was calm even though being booed and heckled and resumed the show unabated.  What a prima-donna.  She was lucky that she was not arrested for causing a disturbance on the plane.  Anyone else would have been in jail and singing the Rikers National Anthem, Oops I dropped the Soap, oh baby baby.. yeah.

President Bush and his wife, Laura, thanked "American Idol" viewers for helping raise $70 million during last week's charity special, "Idol Gives Back." "We thank 'American Idol' viewers who have shown the good heart of America," the president said, in a taped appearance. "We thank all the celebrities who participated, including Bono, and all the contestants who sang their hearts out for these children."

Spiderman 3 hits this month as Spidey Week will rock the NYC skyline.  We will be inundated with new Spiderman events for the upcoming film release of Spiderman 3. The Dark costume will come and for the nonbelievers, (a famous saying of the creator Stan Lee) the costume will come alive and dark.  This creature (Venom) was originally from the Secret Wars and for those loyal readers, they know alot about what happens when the costume is thrown away. We know that Venom in the end sought out a new host and finally found one, a rival of Parkers. A dangerous man and not wrapped too tight but it was a dangerous foe. This will likely be a great week, which will run from April 30th-May 6th with events all over the city.  This is the City that the Spiderman protects and makes sure it is protected from super villains of all sorts.  Peter Parker was born in Queens and lives now in a small apartment in NYC, what can be better. Well true believers, I leave you with this, make mine Marvel... (Smile) "Spider-Man: The Broadway Musical?" check this out..  The lines on Thursday and again for Friday were astounding with theatres having more and more lines for people going to see the show.  I saw the show and it was great, a little slower for some but a good show nonetheless. "Spider-Man 3" took in a record $59 million domestically on opening day Friday, breaking the previous all-time high of $55.8 million for "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" in its first day last summer. Sony Pictures, the studio behind the "Spider-Man" franchise, also reported Saturday that the movie took in an additional $45 million overseas on Friday for a worldwide total of $104 million, a record for single-day grosses globally.

JoJo (on right), has had problems, his ex-girlfriend Kim had to take him to court for back child support.  It seems that Kim was being nice letting him skip payments because of low sales of his old album.  She finally got tired of the excuses, he was only paying $5000 a month in payments.  Believe me, that is a low amount for a star of his caliber to be paying in the first place.  The judge held him till he paid money till the check he gave Kim was cashed. The judge even warned Jojo that he was lucky that he was not paying $20,000..  He was also ordered to pay $10,000 by the end of the month.

The 78-year-old singer-songwriter-guitarist Bo Diddley, has been hospitalized in Omaha since May 13, after performing two shows at a casino in nearby Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Tommy Ray Hynie, the wife of James Brown showed Inside Edition a copy of their wedding as proof of marriage.  The wedding-marriage was in dispute with the family.  The poor woman is destitute with her son James the second.  She is in a fight for a chunk of the estate and monies that was left by the Man of Soul.  The mansion was almost literally shut off to the poor woman and their James brown and Tomi Rae, click to update pagechild. That was a fond, how do you do for her but hey that is how it rolls sometimes.  She was locked out because it was said she was still married to another man, but Tommy Rae said the previous marriage was annulled.  She said that if they want to check paternities, lets check everyone's paternities to see what is what.  That is something else, we wish her luck.  Anyway she was on Inside Edition.
Jay Z's Club 40-40 is in trouble now, accused of not paying fair wages or skimping on pay, they kept a part of the tips by refusing to pay minimum wage.  Say it isn't so Jay... The club is a Hot Spot in Chelsea and known for its many things, but we did not know that the staff was paid so low.  Next time leave a tip, large tip for the workers ok..  100 Staffers reported had been stiffed, rule of thumb people, put a tip in their hand not a tip jar.
What is kinda funny is that Doctors in a study found that there may be another use for Viagra.  It can help with jetlag, it helps the body get over it quicker.  Some business travelers may have found that out but it is still being tested and the results in even lower doses is impressive.

Oh No he didn't, but yet he really did.  Oprah was surprised to learn that her dad had penned a book.  According to the NY Daily News that is exactly what he did and was contacted by the Queen and he said yes he did.  It was based on her early years at 14 when she left her mothers home.  Oprah found out when contacted by the Daily news and was apparently shocked to learn about the book. She then called her dad who confirmed the story.  He was gonna tell her anyway.

What is amazing these days is that my fellow radio Djs are not paying attention.  The example of Don Imus is not sitting well with some and some think that it is radio as normal.  But it is not, as Dj and MC alike has been canned for spewing hateful words, even if they are jokingly. These days life is different, it is more and more, not paying attention to what you say and how it may be recieved, can mean the difference between being on air or not.  XM Satellite Radio suspended shock jocks Opie and Anthony for 30 days Tuesday, one week after they aired crude sex comments about Condoleezza Rice, Laura Bush and Queen Elizabeth II and one day after they made light of the incident in their broadcast.

CBS network has fired two "shock jocks" over an on-air slur against Asians, US media reported Monday, weeks after Don Imus, another radio host was sacked for making a racist remark. The hosts of "The Dog House with JV and Elvis," Jeff Vandergrift and Dan Lay, had been suspended earlier as the broadcaster decided their fate. The show was permanently canceled after the two placed an on-air order to a Chinese restaurant for "slimp flied lice" and compared food items to certain parts of the body on April 5.  "'The Dog House with JV and Elvis' will no longer be broadcast," CBS Radio spokeswoman Karen Mateo told the New York Daily News. After the prank call was broadcast, the Organization of Chinese Americans, an advocacy group, had blasted the network and demanded CBS fire the hosts. And comedian Donnell (Ashy) Rawlings also lost his job on New York's Power 105.1 FM station last week after he was suspended for making an anti-Semitic remark, reportedly saying "a cheap black guy" should be better known as "a Jewish black guy." Vandergrift and Lay were suspended without pay for three weeks, but Asian-Americans demanded the same penalty applied to the much higher-profile Imus.

Mary J. Blige Honored With Voice of Music Honor-The ASCAP award is given to those whose music illuminates people's lives through song. Mary J. Blige is set for another major honor at the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) 20th Anniversary Rhythm & Soul Music Awards next month. The R&B queen will be presented with the ASCAP Voice of Music Award during the invitation-only event in Los Angeles, which will also honor ASCAP's top songwriters and publishers of 2006. The ASCAP Voice of Music Award is given to artists and songwriters whose music illuminates people's lives through song. Previous recipients include Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Diane Warren and Jimmy Webb, among others. ASCAP President and Chairman Marilyn Bergman admits six-time Grammy Award winner Blige was a popular choice.

Sheryl Crowe has adopted a child this Mothers day weekend.  She has suspended some of her tour to spend with her new child and the 45 year old mother is doing fine.  Smile from ear to ear. She adopted a American born 2 week year old boy from the USA.  She named him Wyatt Steven after her Dad and little brother. This will be her first and only child to date.  We wish her luck, little boys are a handful.
This weekend 100 million people will turn on their TVs to watch one of the world's largest music events, the curious state-funded potpourri of ethnic rhythms and bubble-gum pop that is the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Grammy Awards, the music industry's most prestigious event, are getting an early start on next year's 50th anniversary with plans for a fashion line, coffee-table book, museum and TV specials, organizers said on Tuesday.

The owner of an upscale steakhouse in Louisville said he asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant the night before the Kentucky Derby because he is sickened by the attention Simpson still attracts. The owner of an upscale steakhouse in Louisville said he asked O.J. Simpson to leave his restaurant the night before the Kentucky Derby because he is sickened by the attention Simpson still attracts. Ruby, who owns restaurants in Cincinnati, Louisville and Belterra, Ind.  said Simpson, who was in town for the Derby on Saturday, came in with a group of about 12 Friday night and was seated at a table in the back. A customer came up to Ruby and was "giddy" about seeing Simpson, Ruby said. "I didn't want that experience in my restaurant," Ruby said, later adding that seeing Simpson get so much attention "makes me sick to my stomach." This moron needs a life but hey he has the right to serve who he wants. It is unfair that anyone is not allowed to buy a meal that they are able to pay for and O.J.'s lawyer thinks it is racially motivated, no Duh...  He was found innocent, no matter what u think

Usher is making room in his life for a special lady, by dropping two other very special ones. The newly engaged R&B superstar has confirmed that he's committed managerial matricide, parting ways with both his longtime manager, and mother, and his publicist, but refuted reports that the cause of either split stemmed from his recent betrothal. While rumors have been circulating that the "Yeah!" singer severed professional ties with mom/manager Jonnetta Patton after his fiancée, stylist Tameka Foster, expressed interest in repping her would-be hubby, Usher denied that was the case.

Prince, whose hits include "Purple Rain" and "Kiss," will play 21 shows in London this summer.  The eclectic pop superstar, who is a Jehovah's Witness, said he wouldn't be playing any other European dates in 2007 because he must devote time to studying the Bible. Tickets for the Earth Tour, set to begin Aug. 1, will be priced at $62 in tribute to his last album, "3121," he said Tuesday at a press conference. Fans will receive a copy of his new album with their ticket.

Ty Pennington, host of ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition," apologized to his fans and co-workers Monday after he was arrested for investigation of drunken driving. "I made an error in judgment," Pennington said in a statement released through his publicist, Stan Rosenfield.  Pennington was arrested on a misdemeanor charge shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday by the Police Department's West Traffic Division, according to inmate information posted on the county Sheriff's Department Web site.

Ok, the search is on again for a new Next Pussycat Doll, auditions for NY Tri-state residents (NY, NJ, Conn) will be held on Saturday May 12th in NYC.  There is a sweepstakes to skip the line be held on CW 11 at www.cw11.com to complete the entry form.  It will be held at Park Central and you must be born female, so sorry to anyone else.

Lindsay Lohan has apparently slipped.  Even though she publicly has said she is doing better.  A friend reportedly filmed or took a picture of her in a bathroom stall with friends snorting cocaine.  Guess that rehab did not work for her...

Paris Hilton better like chicken. The hotel heiress was sentenced Friday to 45 days at the Century Regional Detention Center, Los Angeles County's jailhouse for women just south of downtown in Lynwood.  Inmates get three low-sodium meals a day, with dinner the only hot meal. Beef and pork aren't permitted,  "it's all poultry-based," said Capt. Alice Scott, who oversees the 2,200-inmate facility she describes as "a very nice place. "Like other high-profile Los Angeles County inmates: O.J. Simpson, Robert Blake, Robert Mitchum, Sirhan Sirhan and Charles Manson, Paris Hilton will be segregated from the general population for her own safety, living in a one or two-person cell.  More news on poor Paris situation here

Independent merchants selling and buying used CDs across the United States say they are alarmed by stepped-up pawn-broker-related laws recently enacted in Florida and Utah and pending in Rhode Island and Wisconsin. In Florida, the new legislation requires all stores buying second-hand merchandise for resale to apply for a permit and file security in the form of a $10,000 bond with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. In addition, stores would be required to thumb-print customers selling used CDs, and acquire a copy of state-issued identity documents such as a driver's license. Furthermore, stores could issue only store credit,  not cash,  in exchange for traded CDs, and would be required to hold discs for 30 days before reselling them.

To add insult to injury Bus-a-bus got into trouble again. Busta Rhymes was arrested on a drunken driving charge Thursday, police said, marking the latest in a series of recent legal troubles for the hip-hop star. Officers stopped Rhymes at about 12:40 a.m. on Manhattan's West Side because the sport utility vehicle he was driving had overly tinted windows, Sgt. Mike Wysokowski said. He said officers then smelled alcohol on the rapper's breath. Rhymes, 34, was taken into custody on a charge of driving while impaired, Wysokowski said. An arraignment was expected later Thursday.  This was just the latest in his exploits.  I am so disappointed I just don't want to go into it again. Now the latest: Busta Rhymes turned down a plea deal on Tuesday that would have sent him to jail for one year, the Manhattan district attorney's office said.  In exchange for pleading guilty, Rhymes would have served one year for the assault charges, been fined $1,500 and forced to participate in an anti-drunken driving program, said Edison Alban, a spokesman for the DA's office.  The next court date was set for July 10, the DA's office said.  In February, the rapper was arrested for driving with a suspended license and in 2006 he was arrested in January and August on separate assault charges.  Leemon has been quoted in press reports as calling Rhymes' arrests "payback" for refusing to cooperate in the investigation into the fatal 2006 shooting of Rhymes' former bodyguard.
Folk singer and anti-war activist Joan Baez says she doesn't know why she was not allowed to perform for recovering soldiers recently at Walter Reed Army Medical Center as she planned.

If you've seen a video game-related story on network television, chances are it wasn't exactly a great story. Despite rising revenue that makes film executives green with envy, the video game industry is often portrayed as conventional entertainment's raucous, hyperactive kid brother. The list of gaming's negative side-effects is seemingly inexhaustible: games are addictive, games ruin relationships, games make kids fat, and of course, games train mass murderers. Pretty scary stuff for a pastime who's most enduring mascot is a jovial Disc Jockey.

1. They can improve your eyesight.

Your mother might have had good intentions when she told you not to sit too close to the television screen, but it turns out that staring at certain digitized images can present notable visual benefits. A March 2007 research study at the University of Rochester put a group of college-aged non-gamers through the paces of such high-caliber action fare as Gears of War, Lost Planet and Halo. After 30 hours of gameplay, the subjects outperformed the control group in their ability to accurately pick out objects in a cluttered space.

2. They can help you focus.

We know, it sounds crazy. After all, how many homework assignments were left unfinished due to late nights spent searching for the Triforce? Too many, to be sure, but for kids suffering from ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), the inability to focus and finish a task goes beyond a love of Link.

3. They can help you lose weight.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of marketing reps, the image of the overweight, undernourished gamer is, at last, slowly fading. Still, there's no question that gluing your butt to a couch for six hours a day doesn't do anything good for that spare tire, not to mention your proclivity for high cholesterol and heart disease.

4. They can help you understand classic literature.

It's no secret that games draw inspiration from books, but one enterprising teacher has turned the tables by using Halo to help his students understand the complexities of Homeric epics. Roger Travis, associate professor of modern and classical languages at the University of Connecticut, claims that the trials and tribulations of Trojan hero Aeneas chronicled in Virgil's Aeneid mirror those of Halo's Master Chief.

5. They can literally save your life.

There's nothing particularly pleasant about going under the knife, especially if you're wary of the surgeon's skills. That's why before making the first incision, Dr. James Clarence Rosser, Jr. of New York's Beth Israel Medical Center lets his patients know that he's awesome at Super Monkey Ball. You read correctly. Years of honing his hand-eye coordination with video games have led the good doctor to believe that they can have a significant impact as training tools for laparoscopic surgeons at every level.
