What
Made my day was the news that there are some new films in the works. Well
Some of them are something else. One of the trends are remakes and first
time Films about Comic Book Heroes and the like. DC Comics has tried a few
times to bring about some great films like its Superman and Batman's. But
none have really made the impact of Marvel. Not that they could, DC comics
were more the little kid comics, and Marvel was more the book that never ended
that had a older following, one that followed one into adulthood.
Marvel Comics has gone to the brink with X-men, Spiderman, Blade, the Hulk, and
anticipated films like Blade Trinity, X-men 3, Spiderman 3, Elektra, Ghost
Rider, Luke Cage (the black man of steel), Captain America, and the
Fantastic Four. DC comic hero's that are hoping for fame, came out
with the Catwoman, Batman Begins, Batman 6, Supergirl, and Superman 5.
Some of the Movies that also in the works from both camps

One
of the films that will throw most in a loop is the movie about the comic and TV
show "Shazam". It was a cult classic that was a rip of the man of steel
some thought. But had a flavor of its own. If
you aren't familiar with the SHAZAM! (Captain Marvel) mythos, our hero is Billy
Batson, a 12 year old paperboy who shouts the word "Shazam" to become the
heavily muscled adult superhero Captain Marvel.
It was about a boy who has powers and was able to call upon them in a body like superman with a mind of a child. Bringing a fresh new perspective to the one very weird story. But it was goofy and cute, but those kids who did follow the story, it was not so bad. It was not so bad as a television series, and the one who gets to play Shazam, the ever loving Rock. Though I never thought I would agree with anyone who followed the comic hero Shazam, I think that the one that should have been Shazam would not be the rock. He would be great as the nemesis, Black Atom who looked kind of like the hero, locked square jaw and rugged features and looked like him in all black.
The Shazam Executives are worried about stealing the thunder from the ever in development Superman film, worried that the two characters are too alike. There's some truth to that as, back in the prehistory of superhero comics, DC sued the shit out of Captain Marvel publisher Fawcett comics for infringing on their Superman trademarks with the character.
