SlashI am so very sorry fans, I have kept putting off something to write on, Slash.  The man with a plan, who has been the plague of 'Guns & Roses' has written a tell all book to dispel the rumors that have been floating around about him and the band. It was bad, for even when the man left to Velvet Revolver, the press was still talking about Guns. 10 years later and the man is still answering questions about the rivalry with the old band.  There was none, but the press loved beating the bush with Slash.  The book is going to dispel the rumors and get the truth out.  Check out the book of truth.


The flaming hot mama, Miss Janet Jackson Janet Jacksonhas signed with the William Morris Agency for representation in all areas of entertainment. The singer-actress recently starred in the film Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married?, and currently is prepping an as-yet-untitled album for a February release via Def Jam. "Janet is one of the most iconic female entertainers of our time," beams WMA president Dave Wirtschafter.  And after the boob thing, she still is a hot item to work with, says me...


Usher's wife, Tameka Foster, gave birth to a baby boy Monday night at an Atlanta Usher and Tameka Fosterhospital, according to the singer's agent. Although no further details have been revealed, the singer previously stated that he would name his firstborn son Usher Raymond V. Usher and Tameka were married in a civil ceremony on Aug. 3, and the pair celebrated their vows during a big party on Sept. 1.


Monday brought the lighting of the tree in NYC.  It was great sight to see with the Metropolitan opera singing with so much more. I had to miss this one, I started to get sick in the rain waiting for festivities to begin.  It was a blue Christmas theme, but it was great to see and participate.


Stevie WonderStevie Wonder performed Tuesday inside a store window of London's Selfridges to help launch the Wonder Room, a department offering luxury jewelry and special gifts. The soul legend's 30-minute concert was his first show in England in more than two years. Meanwhile, Stevie has added a handful of new dates to his North American tour.


Jessica Simpson has a new toy that everyone is Jessica Simpsontalking about.  She brought him home to a post Thanksgiving day dinner since he was actually playing football on Thanksgiving day.  Yes this toy is a football player.  His name is, Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Tony Romo, he is the new boyfriend. 


Before "Dancing With the Stars," few people outside the auto-racing world knew Helio Castroneves. Now, however, the two-time Indy 500 winner and his partner, Julianne Hough, are pegged by many viewers to win the "Dancing" title.


Diana Ross' dad, Fred Ross, passed away The SupremesTuesday morning at the believed age of 87, according to a representative for the singer. No word on the cause of death. Diana went on to perform her scheduled concert Tuesday night in Los Angeles before flying out to Detroit to attend her father's funeral. One concertgoer reports that Diana brought several family members out onstage in a tribute to her father.


Mary J. Blige has been tapped to perform at a LIFE-beat benefit concert in New York on Dec. 4. The event, dubbed Live Beats, will honor BET executive Stephen Hill. Meanwhile, Mary gets the silhouette treatment in Apple's newest commercial for the iPod. In the clip, the songbird is singing "Work That," the second single from her upcoming disc, Growing Pains (due Dec. 18).


Ne-Yo has been dropped like a bad habit from R. Kelly's Double Up tour after only two Ne-Yoconcert dates. R. Kelly's reps claim that a contract dispute is the reasoning behind the singer's departure, but Ne-Yo says that is false. "I believe it was because the first few reviews of the show, people were talking more about my set than his and I don't think [R. Kelly] liked that too much." Ok, dream a little dream for me too ok.. Maybe it was comments like that, or that could just be me...


Supa-producer Timbaland and his fiancée and his publicist, Monique Idlett, welcomed a baby Timbalandgirl a couple of days ago, according to an insider. Contrary to reports, Timbo and Monique have been dating for two years and are planning to get married. "They're both really happy together," says the source. "They've known each other for years."


A U.S. district court judge allowed the family of Notorious B.I.G. to add new defendants in their BIGwrongful-death suit against the city of Los Angeles, among them record mogul Marion "Suge" Knight and former police officer Rafael Perez. The family has long asserted that Suge and Rafael, along with his patrol partner David Mack, were involved in Biggie's murder. Both Rafael and David have denied their involvement in the slaying.


A Judge has sentenced embattled former heavy weight champion Mike Tyson (the Ear Biter) to 24 hours in jail and 3 years probation for drug possession and driving under the influence.


Chris Brown has inked his first TV production Chris Browndeal with Nickelodeon to develop an unscripted pilot featuring two of his young backup dancers. The tour activities of 11-year-old Scooter and 9-year-old Miles will be the basis of the half-hour show. Chris, who was a guest star on The O.C., will also appear in the pilot, which will air as a Nickelodeon special on a yet-to-be-determined date.


Ok, now hear this, this is one for the kiddies, but scary to all of us adults.  Britney Spears of all people was at Petco and paps asked her if she will be having dinner at Miley Cyrus' home for Thanksgiving and Britney said yes.  All in for the love of Hannah Montana fame.  It was reported by TMZ, that Billy Ray Cyrus, who is a great guy by the way and not out of character, invited the pop tart to dinner.  He said that 'We love her.  We would love to be there for you and we care about you..' He also stated that Mile is a big fan of Britney and wants to reach out to her.  Meanwhile she hired a private detective to follow K-fed


The amazing singer Erykah Badu is ready to Erykah Badureclaim her place on the charts with the Nov. 20 release of "Honey," the first single from her long-awaited fourth studio album. Described by Erykah as "an old-school track with some funk on it," the song was produced by 9th Wonder, who's previously collaborated with Mary J. Blige and Destiny's Child. The soul queen's as-yet-untitled upcoming disc is set to hit stores on Feb. 26.

Brandy had a problem at Hair Idol in DC.  Her brother Ray Jay helped her out when the sound went out.  Brandy's daughter came out and she sung to her.  Brandy still is not out of Hot water with the law with the accident that she had earlier.  Good thing that she was not drinking.


John Legend is starting work on his follow-up to 2006's Once Again. The R&B crooner reveals that he will be working with the super producers Will.I.Am, Kanye West and Pharrell Williams on the album, which he hopes to release next year. "I'm usually pretty prolific and pretty quick with my output," says John. "So I'm guessing I'll be done with it by the end of the spring and put it out either late summer or early fall."


Chris Brown rules the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a third straight week with his single "Kiss Kiss" (featuring T-Pain). Elsewhere on the tally, Alicia Keys' "No One" moves up one spot to No. 2, while Timbaland's "Apologize" (featuring OneRepublic) drops one notch to No. 3. Making the chart's biggest jump is newcomer rapper Flo Rida's "Low" (also featuring T-Pain), which climbs from No. 64 to No. 6. Chris was on Tyra in a one on one interview and did well.  


Beyoncé's new concert film, The Beyoncé Experience, will hit 96 digital cinema theater screens nationwide for a one-night engagement Monday. The footage, taped Sept. 2 at Los Angeles' Staples Center, features a guest turn by Jay-Z and a Destiny's Child reunion. A DVD version will hit stores the following day. Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan magazine has posted extras from its new interview with Beyoncé and her mother here.


Luda is the man, he has been grabbing roles left and right.  He is in the new Santa Flick and is getting things done in Hollywood. Ludacris has now joined the cast of a science fiction film with the working title Game. The futuristic plot centers on a privatized prison system in which inmates are computer-programmed to be real-world participants in a video game. Luda plays a member of a resistance group trying to free the players. "He's the intellectual heavy of the movie, in a lot of ways," producer Richard Wright says of Luda's role.


Stevie Wonder is upset, he is troubled by how faith is wielded as a weapon in a number of places around the world. "You have countries where they use religion to get justification for terrorism and destruction. People who use religion to say, 'In the name of God this is how we should do that,'" he observes. "I mean, come on. God or Allah is not about that."


Usher, Will.I.Am, Queen Latifah and Chris Brown are among the new performers announced for CBS' Movies Rock 2007 special, airing Dec. 7 at 9 p.m. ET. The two-hour event, celebrating the bond between music and film, will also feature previously announced entertainers Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, Nelly, Mary J. Blige and others. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Entertainment Industry Foundation.


After Britney Spears' failed comeback on the MTV Video Music Awards, for which her appearance was criticized, the pop star has been on a quest to improve her looks. Last month it was reported that she had her lips plumped, and while house-hunting in Las Vegas over the weekend, it was rumored that she also took a little time out for a nip and tuck. The 25-year-old singer reportedly had liposuction on her bottom and hips over the weekend. And this isn't the first time she's allegedly gotten a little fat taken off - last April it was speculated that she had liposuction in Vegas. She is now under the care of two separate Psychiatrists.


The earliest reports indicate that Alicia Keys' latest effort, As I Am, is primed to capture the top spot on next week's Billboard 200 chart, which would give the singer her fourth consecutive No. 1 album. She has even a rocking commercial for the album that is hot.. In other news, be sure to catch Alicia performing at the 2007 American Music Awards, along with Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Queen Latifah and others. The show airs live Sunday at 8.p.m. ET on ABC.


Nelly and Cleveland Cavaliers guard Larry Hughes are teaming up to build a sports venue in their native city of St. Louis. The proposed facility is expected to be built on 60 acres of farmland in northwest St. Louis County. "This thing is in the baby stages," said Nelly's managing partner Christopher "Topher" Jones. "We're still in talks with the city."


Plastic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams has admitted that he performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Kanye West's mother, Donda West, shortly before she died, but insists the procedures were mistake-free. However, the doctor has been sued multiple times for malpractice and has been busted twice for DUI in the past four years. Meanwhile, Kanye has now expressed his heart felt thanks for the "outpouring of support and kind words" from around the country. Kanye did not go to his appearance between his mothers death and his not feeling well.  He did not attend the model fest that he was contracted to sing at, Will.I.am filled in.  The models sent their love and thoughts to Kanye at this time. Besides that now Kanye West is offering hot and very exclusive ringtones to Virgin Mobile USA subscribers. "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and "Stronger" off his latest album, Graduation, are available along with live versions of four older hits. Meanwhile, Kanye and others have personally designed lunchboxes for an upcoming online auction set to benefit hunger-relief charities. Finally, 'Ye, Wyclef Jean and Nelly will compete for an honor Nov. 29 at the J.A.M. Awards in New York.  Do not miss it... Don Imus is back on the air in NYC.  His re-arrival sets back radio and sets a presidence that is so crazy it is frightening.  If that would have been any other person of color, he would have been banned for 10 or more years in radio. But Don, he has many fans, and friends that got him back on the air.   We wish that he can try to not embarrass our radio/tv/cable community by broadcasting more filth and bring any more trouble to the rest of us.


Wesley Snipes claims a central Florida county is too racist to allow him to get a fair trial on tax evasion charges. An October 2006 federal indictment charges Snipes with fraudulently claiming refunds totaling nearly $12 million in 1996 and 1997 for income taxes already paid. The 45-year-old star of the "Blade" trilogy and other films also was charged with failure to file returns from 1999 through 2004. He is scheduled to go on trial in Ocala in January.


Legendary producer Willie Mitchell is ready to conquer the music business again with the re-launch of his label, Waylo Records. Willie says he will dabble in all kinds of music on the imprint. "There's no telling what I might come up with: R&B, jazz, hip-hop, blues, pop, or whatever," he says. "I don't limit myself." The label's first release is singer Mashaa's album Anytime Anyplace Anywhere.


Brand-management company Scion, a joint venture between hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and the Iconix Brand Group, has purchased the high-end jean company Artful Dodger for $15 million in cash. "Artful Dodger is an incredible brand," beams Jigga. Meanwhile, tune in to BET's 106 & Park on Friday at 6 p.m. ET to watch Hova performing in front of his hometown crowd in Brooklyn, N.Y.


Now this, is funny, James Brown's first wife, Velma Warren Brown, filed papers Wednesday claiming to have never divorced the late singer after marrying him in 1953. However, court documents show that Velma and James did indeed divorce in 1969, and that she received alimony and child support for the couple's three children. Meanwhile, James' music is being featured in the musical revue A Charlie James Brown Christmas, opening in Burbank, Calif., next month.


Britney Spears, the poor girl just lost her mind.  Her assistant, said that she had a shrine dedicated to K-Fed in her home.  It contains the wedding dress and several items belonging to the wannabe rapper. She looks at it from time to time, and it is near the entrance to her home. So Sad...


Trey Songz is considering legal recourse against the Springfield, Mass., police department after his arrest for disorderly conduct early Sunday morning. The singer claims authorities unfairly beat down his bodyguard and road manager while they were trying to escape a scary shooting that occurred outside of the club. "I know a lot of people want to give me the bad-boy stigma after this, but I ain't out there looking for no trouble," says Trey.  He is a lover not a fighter, oh no, that is someone else.


Jay-Z performed songs from his forthcoming disc, American Gangster, and discussed the inspiration behind the tunes at a taping of VH1's Storytellers in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Wednesday. The show, which VH1 will broadcast Nov. 8, featured a 12-piece band Jay dubbed the Roc Boys. "I didn't have to do much," Jay says. "I just let them hear the songs, and they learned the songs in one day." Check the set list here: Jay-Z's American Gangster will not be available on iTunes for its Tuesday release. "As movies are not sold scene by scene, this collection will not be sold as individual singles," he says. Jay's sold-out tour supporting the album kicks off Tuesday evening in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Jay's Rocawear brand is set to launch men's and women's fragrances, skin care products and cosmetics next fall.


Chris Brown is about to release an eagerly anticipated second album, Exclusive, but he's not expecting to replace Justin Timberlake or Usher just yet. "I know those guys aren't going anywhere, but I can hold my own and continue making creative music," he says. "It's OK to compete against each other." Meanwhile, Chris will star in Math-A-Thon Live, a video promoting math and fund-raising created by St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.


Former Pretty Ricky singer Pleasure P has teamed up with Minnesota Vikings offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie to launch Swagga Entertainment. The duo will turn its business partnership into a reality television project called Swagga Boys. The show will follow Bryant and Pleasure P's journey to become successful players in their respective fields of sports and music, while trying to find undiscovered talent for their newfound label.


Akon nabbed three trophies, including one for best-selling R&B male artist at Sunday night's World Music Awards in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Fellow singer Rihanna won an award for best-selling female entertainer, and performed at the star-studded event. Veteran songbird Patti LaBelle received a Legend Award for her contributions to R&B music, and also sang a rendition of "Lady Marmalade."


Philly's Freeway and Beanie Sigel are finally dropping their long-awaited CDs. Freeway's new disc, Free at Last, which is executive-produced by Jay-Z and 50 Cent, is due Nov. 20. "The album is soulful," spits Free. Meanwhile, Beanie's The Solution hits stores on Dec. 11. The rapper recently shot a video for the set's first single, "All of the Above" (featuring R. Kelly).

 Ok, now did you ever take a star tour when in LA.  Well, I guess these guys get their info from somewhere.  Just not reality.  We went on a star tour and I guess we took the same one that TMZ took.  I was astounded by the idiocy that is a tour guide that took us around.  The tour guide was lost, did not know any of the homes they were supposed to and what was amazing was these are supposed tour guides.  Blind leading the blind.

Steaming TurkeyWith everyone getting ready for Thanksgiving, it is the season for giving, inviting, and for sharing.  As you are getting ready for The New Thanksgiving day, buying food for dinner, well, some are not. New York Food Harvest stores are low, and they are looking for help. They are asking for help to feed people in need with food money and help so click this. 

What's happening in NYC this Sunday is Miracle on Madison Avenue. It is a cause that is great for shoppers and the proceeds go to a great cause. From Noon to 5pm, it will have stores on Madison from 57th st. to 86th st, 20% of their sales to the Children's Aid Society Health Services. Buying something for yourself and in effect giving something back. There is a kids tent and hotel tent and gift wrapping tent to help you wrap the presents. It will be fun and a great time for all.


Update: Federal prosecutors plan to introduce into evidence T.I.'s prior arrests for possession T.I.of illegal firearms during his federal gun trial. According to the motions filed Monday in Atlanta, the rapper was arrested on three separate occasions for unlawfully carrying guns, ammunition and a silencer while being a convicted felon. T.I. is currently under house arrest for charges stemming from an Oct. 13 federal weapons bust.


Kanye West and Robert "Evel" Knievel have resolved and dismissed a nasty trademark-Kanye Westinfringement suit connected with Kanye's "Touch the Sky" video. The pair met recently at the famous daredevil's Tampa, Fla., home and put the matter to rest. Meanwhile, a voice mail left by Kanye's late mother, Dr. Donda West, just before her tragic plastic surgery has surfaced. Listen here. (MTV.com) Talking about Evel Knievel, the great man has passed.  He was a great daredevil and his son Robbie succeeded where his father had failed. 


Negotiations to end Broadway's stagehand strike were at the bargaining table into the wee hours Monday morning and until Tuesday morning ordering in vats of coffee as intense talks fueled hope of a deal.  Tuesday brought forth no hope.  Talks broke down and both sides left with no hope of coming back to the table at this time.  Maybe hint of what was the sticking point but the sides left with only the strikers saying that talks had stalled.   It may have been stuck on the number of stagehands needed and that is a big point. It is a 2 Million dollar a day hit to the pockets as both sides walked away from the table. Update: The Lights are back on the Great White Way. The Stagehands strike is over with just a couple of things to do, all is back to business, good.


The Jackson 5 is doing a Reunion Tour.  All the boys are back together including Michael. This will be a great time for the group, some reports even saying that they are working on a new album also just for the tour.  Now that would be worth the million dollars for the ticket... (Joking). The group is doing this for the fans.  It will be Next Year sometime.


Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band Quiet Riot that scored a hit with "Cum on Feel the Noize," was found dead in a Las Vegas home. He was 52. The cause was not immediately known.


ICM has signed Aretha Franklin and will rep her in all areas. Franklin, who had been a longtime client of WMA, has won 17 Grammy Awards, and she just released "Jewels in the Crown: All-Star Duets With the Queen," featuring Whitney Houston, Annie Lennox, Mariah Carey and others. She has been named MusiCares person of the year by the Recording Academy.


The always newsworthy Paris is in China.  Having fun over the holidays.  She seems to be having fun and enjoying the cuisine.


Kanye West's mother, Dr. Donda West, was laid to rest in a private ceremony Tuesday in Kanye, Donda WestOklahoma City. In attendance were Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Anita Baker and John Legend. Kanye told mourners that he wanted his mom to not "rest in peace, but rest in paradise." Meanwhile, Dr. Jan Adams, the plastic surgeon who operated on Dr. West before she tragically died, walked off the set of CNN's Larry King Live on Tuesday night. In other news, Kanye broke down onstage again after resuming his European tour in London on Thursday.


 T.I.'s attorneys filed motions Monday to have evidence concealed that they claim was TIimproperly seized from the rapper's car during his Oct. 13 arrest on federal gun charges. Meanwhile, T.I. made a $20,000 donation to help raise money for Atlanta's Hosea Williams Feed the Hungry and Homeless Foundation's annual Thanksgiving Day dinner event. "I'm just happy to have the ability to do this," said T.I.


Mary-Kate Olsen, one-half of the acting Olsen twins who gained fame on 1990s television show "Full House," has been hospitalized in New York City for a kidney infection, her representative said on Tuesday. "She is resting comfortably and will be released in the next day or so," her spokeswoman Nicole Caruso said in an e-mail to Reuters. Further details were not disclosed.


James Brown's annual turkey giveaway continued on Monday in the late singer's hometown of Augusta, Ga. The beautiful pre-James BrownThanksgiving tradition was started by James in 1991 in order to provide holiday meals to needy families. "We're doing just what James Brown would have wanted us to do," said Rev. Al Sharpton, who participated in the giveaway. Meanwhile, two trustees of the late singer's estate resigned Tuesday over questions surrounding James' finances.


A musical focusing on legendary singer Sam Cooke will begin a 30-city national tour beginning in the summer before winding down with a run on Broadway. Sam Cooke: Forever Mr. Soul will feature R&B crooner Johnny Gill, actor Malik Yoba and gospel singer Tony Terry portraying Sam on a rotating basis, and will include gospel choirs and musical contributions from local talent. Tour dates have yet to be announced.


Snoop Dogg will drop his ninth disc, Ego Trippin', in March. The collection is not Snoopexpected to feature any guest appearances. Snoop has shot a video for the set's first single, "Sensual Seduction," which will premiere on MTV's TRL on Nov. 28. "The video is crazy!" barks Snoop. Check out a preview of the clip right here


This is one for the books, of all people:  Aries Spears was denied to go into Hyde. This was not the first time either.  This time he went with a model from 'Deal or No Deal'. But cross dressing Chris Crocker got inside though.  I guess they are not prejudiced at Hyde... To top it all off, a homeless man mistook Chris for a girl..  What is amazing is that Aries is the man, he was on 2 episodes of 'CSI Miami, movies, and 8 years on 'Mad TV' that he gets no love at Hyde, I guess it is all about the color and not the color of Money.. R. Kelly says his Trapped in the Closet series R Kellywas largely influenced by old-time radio programs. "Trapped was inspired by the time when there wasn't any TV, and soap operas were on the radio, and you would have to imagine what was going on while you listened to the dialogue," he explains. "And that's what Trapped was until I decided to put it to film." I think he has been trapped too long...


Will.I.Am rocked the catwalk Thursday in Los Will.I.AmAngeles at the taping of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, airing Dec. 4 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. The Black Eyed Peas frontman replaced Kanye West, who pulled out of the event following the recent death of his mother, Dr. Donda West. Meanwhile, Dr. West's (Kanye's Mother) funeral will take place Tuesday in her native Oklahoma City; Kanye is expected to fly in from London to attend.


As a rapper who has seen his rhymes censored, the always outspoken 50 Cent has taken issue with the seemingly passive reaction to Britney Spears' use of the B-word in her "Gimme More" single. "I guess [the censors] have their rules that apply individually to each artist," complains 50. Meanwhile, 50's Connecticut mansion will be the focus of a new MTV Cribs episode set to premiere Nov. 29 at 10:30 p.m.


The 50th anniversary of the Grammy Awards is being celebrated with the Ultimate Grammy Collection CD series. The Contemporary R&B entry in the set, due Nov. 27, features cuts from R. Kelly, Usher, Beyoncé, The Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston and others. Meanwhile, the Classic R&B edition, due Jan. 8, boasts tunes from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, the Temptations, the Isley Brothers and the Commodores.


Guess what Readers? Ne-Yo and Heather Headley are set to perform on TNT's special, Christmas in Washington special, airing Dec. 12 at 10 p.m. ET. Hosted for the fourth year by Dr. Phil and Robin McGraw, the show will benefit the National Children's Medical Center. Meanwhile, Ne-Yo and Jordin Sparks will be performing on the Macy's Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade special airing live Nov. 22 at 9 a.m. ET on NBC.


All hail J, Jay-Z's American Gangster debuts atop the Billboard 200 chart with 425,000 copies sold, tying Elvis Presley's mark of 10 No. 1 albums. The only act with more chart-toppers are the Beatles with 19 No. 1 discs. Other big debuts include Chris Brown's second album, Exclusive, at No. 4 with 294,000 unites sold, and Cassidy's B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story at No. 10 with 63,000 copies peddled.


Now see here, Patti LaBelle and hottie Kelly Rowland are among five stars set to serve as celebrity choirmasters on NBC's holiday talent series Clash of the Choirs, which will air live for four nights Dec. 17-20. The legendary Patti will lead singers from her hometown of Philadelphia, while Ms. Kelly will direct vocalists from her native Houston. Lindsay is working hard for her punishment, so hard for the DUI, so hard for her DUI that she is enjoying it. Well, according to Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael, the star is "really enjoying" her community service. Lindsay began her mandated community service for a DUI conviction on Monday at a Los Angeles Red Cross blood services facility. So that's why she's showing the world that she has been carrying around a book about blood. Michael Lohan said that, "I asked her how it was going and she said she is really enjoying it. He also says that he's long encouraged his daughter to do charity work. Good job champ


Wyclef Jean recently traveled to Haiti as his country's roving ambassador in his ongoing efforts to change the human plight in the country through his charity foundation Yele-Haiti. His next mission as ambassador is to try to lobby members of the United States Congress to help with the large job of the economic development of Haiti. "I'm always going to assist my country in the best way I can," vows 'Wyclef.


Mary J. Blige, Queen Latifah and Lenny Kravitz have been added to the performance roster for the 35th annual American Music Awards. They join previously announced performers Alicia Keys, Chris Brown, Rihanna and others. In addition, Beyoncé will make a special appearance during the show, which airs live Sunday on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.

Chris Brown's "Kiss Kiss" featuring T-Pain keeps the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for a second straight week. Meanwhile, Chris says that he was originally going to title his second album Graduation to celebrate turning 18. However, after getting pressure from Kanye West, he changed it to Exclusive "because I'll make an album exclusively for my fans," he said.  And Chris is coming out as a actor in "This Christmas" in theatre's soon.


Will Downing recently dropped his new disc, After Tonight, despite suffering from a painful and crippling muscle disease called polymyositis. The singer vows to not let the disease conquer his spirit. "I'm doing fine," he says. "I've gone through a lot of rehab and I've been working my way back . . . [to] some sort of normal lifestyle, and that's what I'm doing."


What is the world coming to.  I was watching the Neighborhood channel and to my surprise, this young Black, excuse me brother.  African American, no, crazy man had the ordacity-nerve to say that he gave birth to Mike and the Mad Dog show.  He had been on the cable access channel for 10 years and his commentary gave the young mans type of show a more national audience.  Thank goodness a caller called up and reminded him that he was on the cable access channel before I could.  Besides the fact that Mike and the Mad Dog have been in radio longer than 10 years, good try moron.


Alicia Keys is set to perform live Friday on the BET special Alicia Keys: Requested, in which fans pick the tunes that she sings on the show. The program airs at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Patriarch of the Osmond family has passed away.  The father of Donny and Marie has passed away.  He was 85, and always a quiet man.  Well, when I saw him.

Cirque du Soleil has done it again, they have created a family show named Wintuk Cirque du Soleil at the WaMu Theater at Madison Square Garden.  This goes on from Nov. 1st to Jan. 6th 2008.  It should be filled with plenty of  family fun. Make sure you see it.


Cheri Dennis will offer her long-awaited debut effort, In and Out of Love, digitally via iTunes on Tuesday before the physical CD release date of Feb. 26. In addition, one of the album's tracks, "Remind You," already is available for free at iTunes. "I know you guys have waited long enough," says Cheri, "and believe me you will not be disappointed."


T.I.'s attorneys filed a motion on Tuesday the 6th, just asking a judge to waive a three-visitor limit so he can host a nice Thanksgiving Day dinner with his extended family at his Georgia home. A list of visitors was submitted for the judge's approval. T.I. is confined to his home under strict bond conditions as he awaits his trial on federal gun charges. "He's doing fine," says T.I.'s lawyer Dwight Thomas.  Hopefully he will get to have a turkey dinner with family... awwww...


A new clue has emerged in the unsolved slaying of late Run-DMC DJ Jam Master Jay (aka Jason Mizell). According to JMJ's longtime business partner Randy Allen, a man with an unidentifiable tattoo on his neck shot Jason after he greeted him in the studio. "This is a case that can be solved," insists Randy, who believes the killer was someone from JMJ's Queens, N.Y., neighborhood.


Soulja Boy's dance anthem "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" has retained the top spot on the Billboard 100 singles chart for a fifth nonconsecutive week. Meanwhile, Soulja is set to march on his fall tour, which kicks off in Richmond, Va., on Thursday. The month-long trek will come to a close in Tallahassee, Fla., on Nov. 7.

Alicia Keys and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Girls have been officially added to the performance lineup at the American Music Awards, airing Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Meanwhile, Alicia belted out songs from her upcoming disc, As I Am (due Nov. 13), at Thursday's star-studded Black Ball benefit for the Keep a Child Alive organization. She was joined by honoree Bono for a rendition of their charity song "Don't Give Up" at the New York event.  You must watch this event and check out the performances.  Nicole has been coming out lately since taking a time-out to do a solo career. 


 The Funk Brothers are among the inaugural class of acts being inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum on Nov. 26 in Nashville. The Brothers are being recognized for their session work on many hits for Motown Records. "These guys have been overlooked for so long," said Musicians Hall of Fame CEO and founder Joe Chambers of all of the artists being inducted.
