No one should be alone on Thanksgiving, so open your home to friends and invite them over or send some food over. It is called Thanks giving because it is a time for giving/sharing thanks for what we have and of family. Go over to that Aunt or Uncles home and bring something, accept that bosses invite to eat with his/her family. Have a good time and enjoy the day watching sports, cooking, cleaning, eating, talking and having fun together. Get out and have some fun, don't forget to bring some cards. Try a new card game called Phase 10, it is a great game to learn and share with friends and family after or before a great dinner... It brings family and friends together.
Remember this week, since the theatres in NYC due to the strike are closed, except for Thanksgiving day, all the restaurants are 20% off dinner. So go down to the city and check out the Broadway restaurant of your choice. They are losing millions of dollars because of the strike, so come and support, and enjoy. It all became because of the strike and Mayor Bloomberg getting together for bringing back from loses of Millions of dollars to the theatre district. Back to top
In the Video News, on video games that is..: MTV's "Rock Band" video game took to the stage on Tuesday, a brand new entrant in the fast-growing genre of musical rock games that could boost the fortunes of the ultra controlling music industry. More like a rock band simulator than a game, the title takes on the hit "Guitar Hero" series that has sold millions and become a cash cow for publisher Activision Inc. Many retailers opened their doors at midnight so gamers could plunk down $170 for a "Rock Band" bundle that includes the game software and controllers shaped like a guitar, drum set and microphone. "Rock Band" is the headline act in Viacom unit MTV's plan to spend more than $500 million on games over the next two years as it expands beyond its traditional TV controlling interests. "Rock Band" is the crowning achievement of Harmonix, a Boston-based game studio started by MIT students seeking to make the experience of playing music accessible to the masses. A partnership with accessory maker Red Octane resulted in the hit formula of "Guitar Hero", but the teams parted ways as Activision bought Red Octane while MTV picked up Harmonix. The Difference between the two games is Guitar Hero has just the guitars, albeit several nice looking guitars. Now this is funny, The Romantics are suing the makers of Guitar Hero' over the use of their hit song. It turns out you can now also remember them as the one-hit-wonders that sued Activision because the cover version of "What I Like About You" included in the last version of 'Guitar Hero' was simply too good. Activision, Red Octane, Harmonix, and Wave Group Sound are named in a suit that alleges that the cover version included in the game is so good (read: realistic), fans can't tell the difference between the original and the cover. The most absurd part is that the Romantics are trying to get the game pulled from store shelves, several months after its release!
People have said and done a lot of outrageous things on the set of "Larry King Live" over the past 20 years. But the veteran talker said the scene Tuesday night, when his guest walked off the set just minutes after he sat down, was one of the strangest he's ever seen. Dr. Jan Adams, the surgeon who operated on Dr. Donda West, said he was honoring the wishes of the West family not to discuss the surgery or the possible post-op complications that may have contributed to the death of Kanye West's mother. "I want to thank you for this opportunity," Adams told King. "Basically, I had come here to talk about things in the press that aren't accurate about me. ... But I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family. They asked me not to go on. And I've said from the very beginning, I don't have a side in this. ... They are my side, and I'm going to respect their wishes. I'm going to apologize to you because I think I'm taking up your airtime, but I will not be on the show and I will not discuss any of that. I'm going to honor their wishes." Trying to salvage the interview, King then prefaced his next question by saying it wasn't about the family and asking, "Don't you want to speak out?" Removing his earpiece, Adams said simply, "No ... I do not," and then walked off the set. "The whole night was crazy," King said Wednesday morning (November 21) on CNN, noting that Adams' plane was delayed and he was late for the taping to begin with. Once the doctor had arrived, King was told that Adams was speaking to his lawyers in the green room and was not sure if he was going to come on camera or not, even as the taping had already begun with a panel of experts discussing the case while King awaited his guest's arrival. The Los Angeles Times had published an extensive interview with Adams on Tuesday that may have precipitated the letter. He told the Times that nothing went wrong during the November 9 operation, during which he performed a breast reduction, abdominoplasty (commonly referred to as a "tummy tuck") and liposuction, and speculated about possible causes of her death. more Back to top
Well, MTV has given the green light to a new dance competition reality series from which the "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and the creators of the World Hip-Hop Dance Championships, Howard and Karen Schwartz. The show is Tentatively titled, "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew," the show, slated to premiere in early 2008, it will feature some hot hip-hop dance groups from around the country competing for a cash prize and a touring contract. After auditions, which are now under way and early eliminations, the selected crews will face off in live weekly performance shows. One group will be eliminated each week by viewers who will vote via text message, online and phone. "I have always wanted to do something with MTV," said Jackson.. There have been several reality dance competition series, most notably ABC's hit "Dancing With the Stars" and Fox's solid summer performer "So You Think You Can Dance," but "Crew" is the first such series to feature groups rather than individual dancers. It should be great to see the West Coast against the East with NYC and LA going for the gold.. They have always been rivals and will have the best dancers coming forward, hey I might even watch MTV for this... lol MTV Love Spring Break..
Fergie opened the show with a trio of songs from her debut album, then closed it by beating Beyonce and Avril Lavigne to win pop-rock female artist. Carrie Underwood matched her three wins at the Country Music Association Awards this month with three trophies Sunday: female country artist, country album for "Some Hearts," and the T-Mobile text-in award. Justin Timberlake was a long-distance winner, accepting by video from Australia as his name was called for male pop-rock artist and in the soul/R&B album category for his "FutureSex/LoveSounds." Usher presented the international artist award to Beyonce, who was a featured performer but did not win in any of her three competitive nominations. The show however was packed with performances, including Beyonce joining Sugarland in a down home countryfied version of Beyonce's mega-hit "Irreplaceable." Backstage, Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles said she was nervous to sing with Beyonce, who she described as "so beautiful." Rascal Flatts was named top country duo or group, Tim McGraw was top male country artist, Akon won favorite male soul/rhythm & blues artist and Rihanna bested former "Idol" Fantasia to win favorite female soul/R&B artist. In the rap-hip-hop categories, T.I. came up a double winner as male artist and for the album "T.I. vs. T.I.P." Bone Thugs-N-Harmony was favorite group.
Kanye lost it at a concert. He started singing the song "Hey Mama" at a concert in Paris. He put his head in his hands and was standing in the middle of the stage. Soon a couple of his band members came over to him and calmed him enough to leave the stage. He came back a little later to sing "Stronger" with the audience shouting their support. He is getting ready to come back to the U.S. for his mothers funeral, taking place in Tuesday in Oklahoma City.
Romeo Miller (a.k.a. Lil' Romeo) takes a new turn in his illustrious and very successful and very young career and will be graduating Beverly Hills High School this spring as an honor student and a full ride to USC to play basketball. At 6 feet and 170lbs as a Point Guard he has been averaging 15 points and 9 assists a game. Hoopersonly.com ranks Miller as one of the top 15 high school PG's in the nation. This is a history making move for the young award winning entertainer. Despite all of his success, he never faltered from his studies in school and took his love for basketball to another personal accomplishment in his life. Demar DeRozan is ranked the #1 high school Shooting Guard in the nation by the LeBron James Nike Camp. The 6-foot-7, 205lbs- DeRozan averages 24 points and 8 rebounds a game at Compton High. He is considered the jewel of a Trojans class that is ranked in the nations top ten high school players for the last four years. A 22-year-old ex-stripper filed a $100 million lawsuit against boxer Oscar de la Hoya on Thursday for saying that the cross-dressing photos she claims she took of him were fake, and for allegedly coercing her into agreeing not to sell the photos. In the lawsuit, Milana Dravnel says she was coerced into agreeing not to sell photographs of the married de la Hoya dancing around a hotel room in women's clothing after she had already sold some of the images to a Hollywood photo agency for $70,000, Reuters reported. In one of the images, de la Hoya, 34, appears in a black fishnet bodysuit and black heels. In another, he is wearing a white tutu. This amazing bimbo is amazed at the fact that he would say that they are fake, only a money grubbing..... would even sell photos that were true, and amazing still, she is surprised that he would be upset she sold them. She is lucky she got to get on the ride but I am not the one to gossip so you did not here it from me... ha.
- If real pictures, they were between friends and should never have been taken out of the bedroom, for they are not her property. The fact that some one who propertied herself to be a friend or bed mate that she is, the whole affair is dirty and low down that she would even sell the pics.
- If fake, then she should be the one sued, but since he is such a nice guy, he would not sue her but at least he said that they were, leaving her the liar and sicko that she is..
She should be ashamed of herself for even selling the pictures, real or fake. She told the New York Post that she sold the photos because she was allegedly "hurt" after de la Hoya jilted her after a year-long romantic relationship. So the fact that she is suing is supposed to make her feel better huh?? I usually do not chime in, ok I do, but this lady is fake, and feels bad because her way of getting back at an ex got smashed. We are supposed to feel bad for her being an ass and selling out to the first place she could with some messed up photos. And get this Dravnel is suing for fraud, defamation, interfering with a contract and exerting undue and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Husband (and fellow tour headliner) Marc Anthony, who shrugged his shoulders, caressed his wife's stomach, then leaned over and kissed her belly. "I did not expect her to say anything," he told the crowd. Lopez thanked the audience for the applause and said, "We are happy, too." She then turned sideways to reveal her profile and show off her very noticeable bump. She also playfully stuck out her tongue. The Miami show marked the last stop of Lopez's first-ever concert tour. (The duo – he's 39, she's 38 – were slated to play one additional show in San Diego, Calif., but the engagement was postponed first due to the wildfires. It was then scrapped altogether due to an unspecified scheduling conflict.)
Michael Jordan and his wife of 17 years separated last year, and now the divorce is nearly finalized. Jordan is now a part of one of the most expensive celebrity divorces of all time, handing over $168 million to his lovely ex-wife Juanita Jordan. Addition to the $168 mil, Juanita will also get their seven-acre estate in Chicago, as well as custody of their three kids. One year following their marriage, the two signed a post-nuptial agreement, which entitled Juanita to half of MJ's net worth. She hasn't quite taken half though, as the $168 million is only a third of his wealth.
The smart and not too wise Wesley Snipes claims a central Florida county is too racist to allow him to get a fair trial on tax evasion charges. In an October 2006 federal indictment charges Snipes with fraudulently claiming refunds totaling nearly $12 million in 1996 and 1997 for income taxes already paid. The 45-year-old star of the "Blade" trilogy and other films also was charged with failure to file returns from 1999 through 2004. He is scheduled to go on trial in Ocala in January. In a motion filed Monday in U.S. District Court, Snipes' lawyer argued that the U.S. Attorney's Office willfully selected the Marion County seat of Ocala because prosecutors "deliberately chose the most racially discriminatory venue available to the government with the best possibility of an all-white Southern jury where Snipes has never resided." The motion, which seeks to have the charges dismissed or the trial moved to New York, and describes the area as "a hotbed of Klan activity where the Klan adopted highways to commemorate the Klan and the Confederate flag flies over government property." Anyone who has been on trial in Florida knows that people of color get the most jail time. Whether Hispanic, Black or Asian, if you are a person of color, you might as well be African American. For you will know what it is like to be one with the court system. In a state that a 11yr old could go to jail, for mistakenly playing too hard with a little friend, wrestling no less. He got hard time, and for a kid to go to jail, what do you think would happen to Wesley. Snipes' co-defendant, Eddie Ray Kahn, operated his Guiding Light of God Ministries, which prosecutors claim provided tax evasion information, from neighboring Lake County. But on the other side, Chief Assistant State Attorney Ric Ridgway dismissed the racism argument. "That's perhaps the most outrageous claim I've ever heard made in open court," Ridgway said. "I've been practicing here since 1983. I've never seen any evidence that there was racism here any more than anywhere else in the country. I think a person can get as fair a trial here as anywhere." Where has this moron been. Hello Ric, what have you been smoking, in your county alone, look at the difference of arrests, and jail time dished out. Besides how many Black-Hispanic-Other persons of color got tickets versus the White motorists alone. And on top, how many more of those have been assaulted that you dropped the charges against the officers?
