WORDS FROM THE PUBLISHER - BOBBY E. DAVIS
Whoa! S.U.R.E.'s computer crashed, bills on top of bills, everyone is crying that their funds are low and the flu is still kicking my butt! Some weeks everything go crazy all at once. To keep from losing my mind, I searched deep into my record crates to find the perfect beat for motivation. I lucked up and found a 10 minutes white label promo copy of D Train's "Keep On" a R&B classic from 1982. The lyrics to the song are very positive. Here a few lines from the tune, "You can make it if you only try." "Don't stop reaching to touch the sky" "Life have many ups and downs" "Plant your feet on solid ground." "With the strength of your mind you can set yourself free, you can conquer your past." "You can have what you want, be what you want, just keep on pressing on" Don't you give up for nothing. "Keep on stepping to you reach higher grounds."  If you have a goal set it in your mind and say to yourself, this will be mine"  "Keep On"

After a few spins on the platter, D Train's message pumped me up! The tune placed me in the right state of mind to deal with my problems. I know hard times will soon fade away to brighter days.

It's sad that the message being delivered by many of today's popular artists is far from being positive, motivating or spiritually uplifting. The music industry must start focusing on the impact lyrics have on those who listen and buy urban music. Every song does not have to deliver a message. However, more positive tunes are needed to help motivate today's youths and adults.

The election for the presidential office is an only a few weeks away. From what I seen over the last four years, I do not feel safe with the present leaders of this great country.

We face many issues that our government should be dealing with here in the States, not in the Middle East or any other place on this earth. The United States have an overwhelming amount of problems, such as medical insurance, housing, poverty, education and the list goes on and on. These problems should be the major agenda of the United States Government. However, they are not and will not become major issues as long as the present administration is in office. We need new leadership that will place the American Public well being ahead of their over zealous plans to fill their pockets and rule the world.
For way to long, self-righteous officials pimped the American public. It is time for a major change in Washington D.C.!
