Usher has released the inspirational new single "Hush" via iTunes. "Whether serving at the homeless shelter or going to the polls for the first time, you have to act or else 'Hush'," he says. Proceeds from the song will benefit Usher's New Look Foundation. Meanwhile, Usher is the sole musical guest on this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airing Dec. 3 on CBS.

Lyfe Jennings was arrested Sunday in Smyrna, Ga., after leading police on a car chase in his 2005 Corvette, which he later crashed. According to authorities, police were responding to a call of gunshots in the area and saw the R&B crooner leaving the scene in his vehicle. Lyfe was charged with multiple offenses, including criminal trespassing, eluding police, refusing to take a sobriety test and weapon possession. He's currently detained at the Cobb County Detention Facility.


Nick Cannon was ready to knuckle up during Mariah Carey's video shoot for her new single, "I Stay In Love." The actor admitted that a fictional love scene between his wife and a male model drove him crazy. "It was one of those situations where I wasn't intimidated but I could've knocked him out at any point," Nick recalls. The video is set to premiere on various music networks by the end of this month.


Eminem has confirmed that Relapse will be the title of his first studio album in four years. During a launch party for The Way I Am, his new autobiography, the rapper also previewed a new track titled "I'm Having a Relapse." The Legendary Four Tops frontman Levi Stubbs, who helped define the Motown sound on such hits as "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)," "Reach Out I'll Be There," "It's the Same Old Song," "Standing in the Shadows of Love" and "Bernadette," passed away Friday at his home in Detroit. The singer, who was 72 at the time, had battled a number of The_Four_Tops. Levi Stubbles (June 6, 1936 – October 17, 2008), better known by the stage name, Levi Stubbs, was an American baritone singer, best known as the lead vocalist of the famed Motown R&B group The Four Tops. Rick Ross has been tapped to rock the mic at the Give Back Concert Benefit in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 4 (aka Election Day). Kenny Lattimore decided to go with obscure songs that may be unfamiliar to many listeners for his new covers album, Timeless. The singer believes that by covering classics like Al Green's "Something" or Aretha Franklin's "Ain't No Way," it would make his collection more unique. "The New album will come off like a brand-new CD to a lot of listeners," explains Kenny. "It almost became a fun trivia kind of thing."

Although the still gorgeous Patti LaBelle admits she was initially skeptical when she decided, to reunite with her '70s group Labelle for a new album. "I really didn't know if we still had the Labelle is an American R&B/soul group, who melded disco with funk and glam rock. The group was led by Patti LaBelle, who later had a solo career. My boy, the notorious Busta Rhymes has officially confirmed that he has left Interscope Records and found a permanent home at Motown/Universal. Ne-Yo says he'll return to the big screen in a new semiautobiographical film called Venice Beach. "Basically it's going to be my 8 Mile, loosely based on [my] life, but not really," he explains. It looks like a just might be some resolution is near in the ongoing legal battle over JamesJames Brown and Tomi Rae Hymie-Brown at a news conference Brown's estate. A settlement proposal is  concerning the estate was submitted Monday to Circuit Judge Jack Early. The James Brown Jr and mother Tomi Rae Hymie-Brown at the funeral of James Brown Sr.document states that Tomi Rae Hynie was indeed the late soul singer's fourth wife and that all of the children and grandchildren mentioned in James' will are lawful heirs. The families involved have until Oct. 23 to submit a final agreement to the judge.


Kanye West is co-organizing a benefit hip-hop event on Election Day in Washington, D.C., through his nonprofit, The Dr. Donda West Foundation. Lil Wayne welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday afternoon at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, according to his rep. The mother of the child, named Dwayne Carter III, is unknown at this time. Weezy also has a daughter, Reginae, with his ex-wife Antonia "Toya" Johnson. The rapper announced that his son would be born "any day now" at Sunday's BET Hip-Hop Awards.


Jaheim is set to release his first greatest-hits compilation on Nov. 25. The collection, titled Classic Jaheim Vol. 1, boasts several of the R&B crooner's hit singles, including "Fabulous," "Anything," "The Chosen One," "Put That Woman First," "Could It Be" and others. Jaheim's last disc was The Makings of a Man, which features the hit single "Never."


Marvin Sapp was blessed with nine nominations for the 24th annual Stellar Awards, including nods for Artist of the Year, Song of the Year ("Never Would Have Made It") and CD of the Year (Thirsty). Cash Money Records founders Bryan "Baby" Williams (aka Birdman) and Ronald "Slim" Williams pleaded no contest Friday to marijuana possession at a Tennessee hearing on charges stemming from a November 2007 arrest. The pair each received 29 days of probation and were ordered to pay a $500 fine plus $405 in judicial fees. Meanwhile, Cash Money Records has inked a deal to bring hot British R&B crooner Jay Sean to the United States.


Ne-Yo is poised to star in, executive-produce and oversee the soundtrack for the romantic flick Venice Beach. Video director Paul Hunter is in talks to helm the movie, which is about an 18-year-old girl who discovers her own singing talent after meeting a gifted songwriter (Ne-Yo). After a year of legal battles, the New York State Supreme Court has cleared the way to have the apartment complex at 1520 Sedgwick Ave. in the Bronx, often cited as the birthplace of hip-hop, to be sold next week. Tenants and other supporters had tried to legally block the sale of the building, even offering $10 million to buy the complex. The property will be sold to real estate developer Mark Karasick.
