And YES, we got mail, from the Bobby Davis Mailbox... and here we go.

WALTER BROOKS (CYBERTIME PRODUCTIONS)
This was great info Bobby, lot's of cat's need to know. Most brother's and sister have good intentions to go into the music business for themselves, however but always seem to leap into the game half cocked.

This info here is something that we gained through experience of paying our long and grinding dues, trial and error with a hole lot less capital to succeed. It is truly time to pass it on.

Now most are armed with lot's more capital and no due's paying, which appears to breed many more know it all's.  If they would take half of this advise/info in this article, apply it,.and the rest will all fall in place.

REMO (SOUL CIPHER RECORDS)
Peace Bobby, -- I just wanted to tell you that the article MUSICAL TRENDS AND THE CURRENT STATE OF BLACK CONSCIOUSNESS Part 1 of  3 was terrific and very necessary. Once again I commend your for using your newsletter to expose truth and I look forward to parts 2 and 3.

Bobby:

Thank you for reprinting ER Shipp's commentary regarding Tavis Smiley.  I first saw Tavis when he was a panelist on Geraldo Rivera's CNBC program in 1995 and I always try to catch his show on PBS.

Tavis' work is so excellent and is finally receiving the exposure it so deserves.  Robert Johnson and BET really blew it when they pulled the plug on Tavis' program years ago because his no-nonsense style of journalism rankled the powers-shall-be.  Thanks to public broadcasting, he now joins Tony Brown's (Black) Journal as a voice that speaks to all.

Best regards,
